The best part about that is the fact that he pitched a scoreless inning.

and struck someone out.

Man, I sometimes wish the Blue Jays have money, or not a boatload of injuries to the pitching staff.

My cat almost caught and ate a Blue Jay this past weekend. Maybe it's symbolism of the upcoming season.

Wow so I did a little searching on the nick swisher thing. I had assumed he was a pitcher through HS/College and switched to go pro. Turns out thats not the case the last time the guy pitched was as a freshman in high school (prolly about 13 years ago). Even crazier was he walked Upton, then gave up a single, then managed to get a strike out and 2 fly outs and not give up a run. (the guys were prolly trying so hard to go deep on him they couldnt hit the ball)

They said his fastball (all he threw) hit 80mph, once. They also said he was shaking off signs (the catcher wasnt giving any signs) and dropping down side armed occasionally just for fun.

The guy he struck out should retire and how did Upton not steal 2nd and 3rd on him?

What is wrong with Brad Penny's control? He still throws mid to high nineties, I don't get what happened to him.

Gabe Kapler...he was out of the league two years ago, should have stayed out.

Oh, I'm just waiting. This hot streak will go downwards quickly.

Half way through last season, the managment was going to give about 105 million to the payroll, which would be roughly 35 million dollars more than last year.

Of course, they decided not too with the economy, but man, if the Blue Jays had Burnett (who would of stayed with Jays), not crazy injuries to Marcum and McGowen, and one big bat, they Jays would of been a good team instead of a joke some journalists think they are.

If the Jays were in the AL West, they'd be in the playoffs every other year...or, at least, not always coming in third.

True. Last year, definitely considering they had the best rotation and bullpen statistical. (well I think the best rotation, but I know the bullpen was considered the best)

Congrats to the Nationals for completing their transition to AAA with their new uniforms.

Triple A? More like Cape Cod league.

Ibanez is the man.

Yeah I expected him to be good, but not with the power he's had so far. Hopefully he can keep that up.
