Had to balance out the number of votes. Thor doesn't need a hammer to win here by the way. If he -and Adam- don't violate the rules.
Thor's shown some technical skill in the past, and with his brawling abilities, he should fair well if the guidelines are explained clearly. Not sure if Adam would abide by them.

As having read 95% of Fawcett era stuff, I would say it was only in the mid 40s that he started going all out.
Before that he was slightly above or equal to what Golden Age Superman started out as.
BUT He did have the greatest combat speed to begin with versus any one these guys.
Surfer was tops overall though.
In all seriousness, I think Adam's innate sense of honor would allow him to play by the rules. As he really has no personal beef with Thor and when he's not raging out, Adam, while cold, does have a sense of fair play to a degree. I think Adam would respect Thor enough to try and beat him fairly and vice versa.
Though, I have to wonder how much Adam's speed would play a factor in this.
