Nice way of trying to save yourself the embarrassment with how I would've handle you on Live.
And you know what. I'm gonna go ahead and beat the game on insane now just to see how difficult it is; just to prove to myself that the game's not that hard and easily conquerable, even on insane. I'll do it within a week, i wager.

I died more times than I can count because at times the game gets annoying and a bit cheap. For example you're fighting off a Seeder in Chapter 4 and the lightbulbs(forgot their name) will kill you in one hit. You have to kill the seeder with the hammer of dawn while defending yourself from the lightbulb while holding back an assault of a locust with a shotgun and 3 exploding wretches all in a small room. Trust me it's not that it's hard but rather cheap, but then again these times are rare and usually only come when you get split up.

With G.O.W. I kinda felt the same emotional connection I felt with HL2 meaning graphically, gameplay-wise and it's characters but the feeling was more intense with HL2. It's almost unexplainable; it's a feeling i've never felt with any other game, but it's just my opinion. And imo, the 2 are indeed comparable and HL2 is better. And since the 360 is the hottest console out and the PC's hottest game is HL2, just right there is enough ground for a comparative analysis between the 2, to me.
So beating a game in less than 4 days that's only 6 hours long on casual means I have no life? I wonder.
Anyways alright with your comparison, HL2 struck you more. To each their own, I guess. Half Life 2's an amazing game, and I'm looking forward to the 360 version of it.

im not embarassed by getting owned, nor am i a sore winner...however i must confess i get a nearly orgasmic sense of gratification by shutting up people like you. all the trash talking before the game followed by that blessed silence in the lobby post-game, then followed by all the excuses...sweet nectar to me

I didn't think I'd ever get to witness the glory that seems to be Half Life. I've heard and seen so much stuff on it and it seems to be a pretty good game.
I haven't played Half Life1 or 2 so that's good to know. I now have another game to add to my list of games I want for my Xbox360.
Do you know when it's coming out and if they're also releasing the original Half Life on Xbox360?

The original half Life was released for the PS2 a couple of years ago. If you still have a PS2 you should try finding one. The graphics were improved on it.
Half Life 2 was released for the original Xbox. Though only the campaign. For the 360 they're rereleasing Half Life 2 with the graphics in the same standard as high end PCs along with Team Fortress 2 and Episodes 1 & 2--which are 2 episodes(Duh) continuing the story where HL2 ended. I heard the PS3 version was delayed for spring 2007, but I don't know about the X360 version. I'll check on that.

I believe it's going to be like, a short-ish game, similar to an expansion pack, only having nothing to do with the Half Life universe.
I could be wrong, though.
Portal is just an quirky little puzzle game that Valve is releasing. They hired some developers that created an similiar prototype of Portal, and they let them release Portal to the public. Valve has done that in the past.
TFC was teambased online mod of the Quake 2, and Valve hired them to create an TFC for Half Life. It breathed alot of fresh new air into the franchise of Half Life and was one of the reasons (plus CS) that Half Life is one of the most popular and money making gams out there.
Intersting story but Vavle released news that Team Fortress 2 was going to out before 2000 that allows people to play an modern team based game with strategy points and stuff. Pretty much what Battlefield series is. It became Vapourware for years until recently Valve released movies and info about TF2. Its basically an stlyizied version of TFC, with awesome cartoon and celshedded characters. The original is a wicked game, more teambased arcade game than whats out today.
All of this will be released with Half Life 2 Episode 2 for the PC and XBOX 360. I wonder how much the XBOX 360 version will cost.
