I disagree on a couple of points you made about Half Life 2. I don't like comparing games, but I don't think Half Life 2's faster. Then again that depends on what you mean with faster. If you mean hardcore non-stop action than I disagree 100% with you. Graphically I don't compare them since I only played the toned down X-box version of the game, but even if HL2 on high end PCs looks better than GOW that still doesn't take away GOW's impressive visuals. GOW has raised the standard for what console games should/must look like.Gameplay wise they're 2 different games, and eventhough the Gravity Gun is fun as hell I enjoyed taking cover, fanking etc. more. Now there's one thing GOW has definitely over HL2 and that's the sound effects and the soundtrack.

I don't really care if one game is better than the other, I have both, I love both, but right now I'm playing GOW non-stop and I don't see me stop playing it anywhere in the near future.

Currently in act 4 on insane. The reviewers claimed beating the game on insane would be a feat on par with halo 1 & 2's legendary, but not quite.

i only played act 1 and ever since ive just been on multiplayer. someday ill do the campaign

couldnt put this game down when i bought it, its badass

I'll have to wait for Christmas for my copy, sadly.

Being that I just bought a game that's occupying my time right now, really helps though in not buying a lot of games.

Also I don't like to spend my money and I'm saving up for a Wii, yeah, that reason has a lot to do with it too.

I'll have my mom get me the 360 and a game or 2 and my grandparents can get me a couple/few more games, unless they get me the Wii and some games, then I'll take my money I was saving up for the Wii and buy even MORE GAMES WITH IT. drool

THE GOOD: Stellar graphics reset the bar for what consoles can do visually; great soundtrack and killer sound effects; satisfying gameplay in single-player mode; very addictive online play; best use of a chainsaw in any game, ever.

THE BAD: Story could have been a bit more fleshed out; difficulty could have used some slight tuning.

Hardcore is perfect until pretty much near the end, where it gets pretty hard.

I couldnt beat the last boss on hardcore.

So it seems you've purchased XboxGOLD or whatever you call it. How does that go about b/c it seems you got it relatively quick.

Pretty much you can order online on the 360 through its service. You add the credit card number and info (which takes awhile due to the lack of keyboard) and once thats confirmed (about 5 seconds), you can then buy anything on the Marketplace. So I went to settings, network and bought the gold package for $59 bucks for the year.

Then boom, I'm all set.
It's even quicker when the card numbers and info is already stored.

I was basically playing the game in about 5 minutes after I made the decision to due so.

Online with XBOXLIve is pretty sweet. I like how you can play any game there is without worrying about anything. My only complaint that its not like PC online. Hosts run the games, and they can pretty much do anything they want. It's somewhat annoying getting kicked because you died alot in the first round. What else is annoying is that playing Gears Of War, I find it hard joining games because I always get the "failed to connect to host" message. Maybe Im doing somethign wrong, but its cool noneless, but just not as good as PC.

So when did you get tge 360 and why did you wait to get gold?

I got it around Easter.

I had it for about an month with the purchase of GRAW, and it was fun, but nonething really worthwhile. I didnt think it warrented the money I would of spent because too me, there wasnt any really good games I wanted to play online.
Then I was off work for two months, so I had to really budget the money wisely.

So I waited until an good game came out, which was Gears Of War. Im thinking of getting Call of Duty 3 because I loved the online for the PC in both previous versions and I heared the online was awesome.

yeah that was the biggest improvement according to the review i read about from the second one.
