Gears of War

Yeah, they should have had more, but the ones that were there were great. Although, if they did put more, that might have taken away from the seriousness of the game (saving Sera from the Locust Horde, it's not really a happy jolly make lots of jokes kind of game). But I think they could still have added a few more funny lines.

whats a good strat for killing those exploding wretches?... shotgun?

I seemed to get pwned by them all the time 😖

I use regular machine gun...but as soon as you shoot them, (which pretty means that they're right under your feet)...a dive out of the way, or spring out of the way...

especially works in situations where your surrounded.

You can just wait for them to get close and melee them for the kill. You'll obviously want to roll out of harm's way after they're down of course.

But still somehow you still wind up somewhat getting hurt from that rather small 'explosion'. God, I hate those things.

A little fun fact:

The kryll are absed off of the alien/monsters from Pitch Black.

That little scene were the sun goes down, and the Kryll swarm up into the sky, is also inspired from that movie.

Yeah those little exploding bitches are annoying...especially when you fight the big creeper.

Especially on the higher difficulties! Annoying things.

I played Gears of War on Xbox Live last night for the first, it was awesome! I died a lot though 😛 Oh well, fun nonetheless, except for the people yelling swears every ten seconds, but that doesn't happen as often as it does in Halo 2 Live, so it wasn't that bad.

i suggest punching them /w pistol, it takes them out in one hit (even on insane) after u punch, run!!!

Exactly. Also since the pistol is small you don't have long recovery time, so you can actually run, roll or walk away without taking damage.

Hell no, I don't even play ranked games, they suck. People are all anal about winning and losing and it's hard to connect to ranked games. And the game ends as soon as the map is over, no changing maps or anything, really lame.

I just like the "for fun" games, people are cooler and the games are more enjoyable.

The fun factor is always present. But I can't understand dislike of ranked games. Then again...it's quite a feat to accomplish.

Is that XBOX Live that does the whole "map is over in ranked games"?

Or developers?

I wish Gears of War had matchmaking...

I really think some of these 360 games have taken a step backwards with online capabilities, compared to the matchmaking system from Halo 2. 😬

i think there are truly hackers on the game. one of the enemy players on rooftops at the VERY beginning got OUR sniper rifle. he's all "u guys on drugs? i didn't take it"

there's also something where someone jumped on gridlock to one of the towers from the ground, i was like WTF DUDE

i hate to say it, but i personally believe there ARE now modded xbox360's

Microsoft is counting on modded 360's.

And GOW's won best graphics, best multiplayer, and the studio won best studio... on the Video Game awards.

Epic will be releasing new content early 2007.
