Crysis

When's Cysis coming on the PS3?

Probably never.

Hm, that's weird.

You got the latest video drivers?

Cuz you really should be able to max this game out with your sli setup. With some tweaks I'm able to play through most of the game at 1650x1050 resolution at gamer settings. When I used a tweaked autoexec I can even play through it with sunshafts turned on so that it looks similar to very high.

I'm a tad bit pissed.

I'm going to try it again.

Tried it again, and it worked.

I playing on gamer and its a lil hiccupy at the part on where you get bombarded by aliens at the mine entrance.

The snow areas are pretty taxing, yeah.

Hey, I heard something about Warhead being buggy with Sli systems. Maybe try turning sli off, might see an improvement.

I was thinking about that.

I was thinking that it didnt take advantage of SLI's. The game is pretty rock solid when it comes with actual bugs, but its just annoying that the game was heralded as being better optimization than the original and I get the same FPS. Its annoying.

Also just found something out.

Warhead, for some stupid reason, didn't ship with a 64 bit version. So it's not even optimized for 64 bit OS's like we have. They're going to add it later in a patch.

That's probably it.

At the start, I thought Crytek could be overtaking Valve as the premier FPS developer, more and more now, I'm not.

Finished the game.

I must say that it got alot better near the end. I took me awhile to play it so I probably took 8-10 hours to play on Hard.

Outside of the graphical issues, it was really fun to play. Alot more varied than the first. Reading the PC Gamer rewiew, which gave it 73%, I thought they were completely wrong. I liked how they add a bit more scripted events because I felt the first one lacked any sort of atmosphere outside a few things. This game had plenty.

Great game though. I totally felt like a badass with my SCAR. I didnt really bother with sneaking around too much, I used my camo to run away, and then come back, 3 taps to to the head, and off I was. When the game does that, its really really fun.

Yeah, I really didn't agree with their review either. Though I hear a lot of people who really loved the original didn't like this one. The pacing is almost opposite. I'm playing through the original again, it's like a completely different game. Hard to say which one is better. Crysis is a bit more strategic, Warhead is more gung-ho. Both are very fun.

I dont know why they didnt like it.

There are numerous Crysis areas in the new one. Just happens that there is also alot more action oriented areas with scripted events.

I just bought the Crysis pack on Steam now that I have my new PC and gotta say I love it. I'm only on "awakening" but it's one of the best games I've played lately.

Crytek's been saying that they will move Crysis to the PS3 but they said they don't know when. How about now guys?

So, this past Friday, Oct. 20, 2008, I purchased a (customized) Dell. I want to buy Crysis and maybe I’ll be able to run it with all the games’ settings on high, or all the way up.

Here are my specs and do you guys think I’ll be able to run it?

It’s a Dell XPS 630.

It coming with no monitor or speakers. I may pick one up at best buy though. Probably a “22 Dell flat panel (ws). And some regular Bose pc speakers even thought I have a dvi to hdmi plug that goes from my computer to my “46 Sony Brava. I almost don’t wanna get a Dell panel cause of that. And I already have a home theatre surr. snd system I could plucg up to the pc so why get the pc speakers.

But yea, these are the specs. And I wanna play it on all high settings. Can I ?

Oh, and it comes with 2 nvidia cards even though it says 1 quantity. (i called and found out)

So?..

My bad, the order was placed on Friday, 10/17/2008, not today, the 20th. I mistakenly typed in Friday 10/20/2008.

But eveything else is on par. Spec info was copied from my email reciept and pasted on here.

Should play Crysis at high easily.

I would also get a sound card but Im a sucker for good quality sound.

Depending on the resolution you'll be able to play on high or maybe even very high.

If its original, probably at very high with lower resolutions.

Only thing is the 9800gt isn't all that great, basically identical to an 8800gt, so it might struggle at very high at a decent resolution.
