shit more like.

this is all i'll post on this:

thou shalt not kill........he seems to do this enough.......

need i say more?

It's not God.

It's the people who attempt to speak for him.

I beleive that people who claim to know the Will of God are fools.....no one can speak for such a being, NOBODY knows he exists, theres no proof of it.

Religion....is it all its cracked up to be ?

If religion serves as a pesonal source of comfort, strength, and works for the person...its wondorful.

If religion serves as a political tool in an attempt to dictate the lives of other people....its horrible.

I don't believe a real god would want us to kill. Not it's own creations which IMO is part of what it is.....It would be like It condoning it's self being cut and maimed...

I don't beleive in a God who wants us to kill either.

Nor in a God who creates a horrible place like Hell for all the people who don't follow 1000000 of his rules.

* if you are not a killer, having a law that prohibits killing will not affect you... 😉

yes...because people can't change. There have never been murders where someone who was actually a good person lost it and killed someone. 🤪

* don't take it the wrong way, and don't even justify killing... a person with sane mind, with Christ's teachings, even in times of great persecution will not resort to killing... 😉

I am against inacting killing, torture, or control on another person.

That simple.

Those to me, are the only sins. To me sins are not abou defying God. For God is supreme and needs nothing from us. Sins are about hurting other people. that simple.

sin is a lousy word that is too wrapped up in religous connotations to have any real public menaing.

Jesus said: "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea." - Matthew 18:6.

See? Jesus wanted to kill people. And besides, most Chirstians have no problem with the death penalty. They even like it.

No no, that's Jesus speaking in metaphors again........It's funny how he never really just comes out and says things.....He's always uses parables and stories.....Just like the "Rich man and Lazarus"....which people take literally..

Is Christianity only a religion of peace and love? I don' t think that anyone can honestly and objectively examine American or European history and answer "yes" to that question. Christianity can encourage peace and love - but it certainly need not, and it quite often has done just the opposite. Although the people responsible for violence might have found a way to express their hatred without Christianity, it cannot be ignored that Christianity offers a convenient divine mandate for hatred and violent acts against a wide range of people.

As for your no true Christian... retort I expect you to hang on to.
It' s always interesting to observe how religious believers want to associate themselves with the good things done by their co-religionists in other eras or cultures, but are so quick to disassociate themselves form co-religionists who do bad things. Responsibility is a two-way street. Your association with the good things done by other members of your group is just as strong as your association with the bad things done by members of your group.
Jesus’ teachings support plenty of good things, but Jesus’ teachings can also be used to support plenty of bad things. In the end, Christianity is comprised of the actions and beliefs of Christians because that’ s all that really exists. There is no pure form of Christianity sitting out there, against which all current and historical manifestations of Christianity can be judged.

SO incredibly true. In a hundred years, the religous will ignore things done by the practictioners today and deny thier faith.

I beleive in a Hundred Years things will be very different. People's mind are opening more and more.

In the future, religious people will still keep thier Faith. However, aspects of thier Faith will change.

You remmeber how religious people centuries back thought that it was sinful to allow blacks to marry whites, let alone marry each other ?

In the future many religious people will realize that the Religious Societies in general made such a HUGE deal of something so small and only mentioned in the Bible, Torah and Quran so FEW times.....

There are already Christians, Jews, and even Muslims who TODAY don't care if someone is gay or not. They love them the SAME and beleive that every person....gay or straight....has the right to achieve happiness.

In the future, more religious people will understand many of them have been horribly SEXIST in thier discrimination against homosexuals and in thier beleif in the limitted role of women.

but, they'll still be behind the current social issue. Example, today, Christians think that different races can drink from the same water fountain., but mant dont think that homosexuals are human beings.

I know....its FANATICISM.....when religion turns into fanaticism the rest of us have the right to FIGHT BACK is all im saying

does that explain why I'm part fascist?

Two wrongs don't make a right. You have to come up with a better solution.

FIGHT BACK as in stand up for our rights. THERE IS NO DENYING OUR RIGHT TO DO SO

I didn't mean violence.

* wow...

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
Matthew 18:6

* maybe you know the meaning of, "it were better for him that..." Christ did not tell to kill the offender but it would be better for the offender that a millstone... etc...

* seeing that as your logic, i'll never be surprised if you never stop arguing... 🙄
