Is God all he's cracked up to be?

At least I use logic and not not just spew meaningless jargon.

If Jesus is always right, shouldn't we do what he things is good. Is it not our place to make the world as he saw it fit?

* then spew something Christ said that is wrong...

thats not the point...

Jesus said:"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
Matthew 18:6

If Jesus wants it to be done, should it not be done?

* Christ did not order anyone to hang an offender's neck and drown him in the sea... Christ just says, it would be better for him that... etc...

If Chirst thinks its right...why not do it?

* cause Christ did not tell anyone to do it... re-read the verse, okay?

I know what is says. I know he didn't say (or at least who over worte it said that Chirsti didn't say) to kill anyonw. But,Chirst thought that it'd be better if the man died. Do you not do what Christ thinks is right?

* dude, we can go on forever like this, if you want... anyways, let's just read the context...

"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
Matthew 18:4-6

* there is no way, even in the context itself, did Christ order or even tell anyone to kill... 😉

Though I've said it before...Jesus spoke in metaphors,...........THOUGH in stating that, the bible teaches EVEN THINKING something is the same as doing it soooooooooooo........hmmmmm......Did Jesus sin?

No, because hes God and he can create a divine loophole. 😆

I know jesus speeks in metaphors, but I think this one is particularly direct.

* and that's where your misinterpretation lies... i just hope you re-read the entire context surrounding the verse you gave... 😉

😆 since when do you provide context?

and I know what the context is. My position still stands.

one example is hardly representative...😉

* giving a verse and not considering its context, is what? 😉

A verse is JUST a verse to some people. To you its truth, to others its fantasy.

Personally, I have found more FACTS in a Science textbook than I have found in the Bible.
