We do change but we do not gain anything that we don't already have, take humans we have various traits, In an environment that is hot Africans would be better at living then Caucasians and in a cold environment vice versa but these traits aren't new they are pre existing traits.Did you read what I posted earlier?
Jaden said if a mutation (Point Mutation to be exact )Rearranged the sequence of the nucleotides or the base 4 base pairs it would produce new phenotypes.
But we used to be apes which have dark skin, the dark skin was for absorbing the light because it was easier in a hot environment. As the apes went to Europe, their skin got lighter to survive and it became 'natural' for the to have light skin. It was a mutation. White people (like me) are mutated from black people to survive in a different condition.

Wings already exist it the gene pool because wings are homogeneous with arms.

How would absorbing Sun light make it easier to survive in a hot environment?
😕

And when do mutations add new info again?

right idea but wrong explanation
light skin pigment is pheomelanin and dark pigment is eumelanin
eumelanin tends to also have bigger particles and has better protection against UV light which ironically (or not) helps prevent radioactive mutations in skin cells...

why did you quote me? 😕
I already knew that...

ID is a way for some extremist Christians to confuse the issue of evolution by creating a scientific sounding theory that promotes Christianity.
The theory of intelligent design has nothing to do with Christianity. Rather, it is similar in nature to Aristotle's theory of the "Prime Mover" or "Unmoved Mover" setting the universe in motion. The theory of intelligent design just says that some higher power--true, this is often seen as God, but many leave it at "higher power"--had a hand in creating us.
Christian extremists are often those who promote Creationism due to their strict adherence to Biblical text.
It's hardly Christian extremism. In fact, it's a merging of the scientific and religious communities, something that the extremes of both sides refuse to accept.
The block of marble must become that which the sculptor intended it to be. That's is what Arostotle said. But, that was pracitically a metaphore. And, it's odd how litttle is understood about parables and metaphores in modern religious circles. But, we can't all go back 3300 years, can we? And, when using Aristotle to counter an argument for non-intelligent design, one has to remember that he subscribed to many more scientific principles than do most modern christians, or followers of ID. The over riding principle behind Aristotle, was that he was willing to be wrong...as long as you could prove it to him. 😉

Originally posted by Blue nocturneobviously doesn't know what natural selection it's not just genetic variation something you still don't understand, it's also adaptive evolution learn some facts for once. 😉
Natural selection + Random mutation= evolutionTry again.
