their are certainly times I think the judging needs to be re-evaluated for sure.
I remember one of the ring girls wrote on her twitter once that a judge gave Kimbo the first round against Mitrioni and found it very funny.
You know their's something wrong when even the ring girls see flaws in the judging.

I disagree with the decision, but acting like Machida got screwed by the judges because he isn't American is just retarded.

I thought Griffin took every round against Lentz.

And I can't believe Harris got cut. He was 4-1 in the UFC. Makes no sense. The guy has so much potential.

Biased judging is always a possibility, just impossible to know when it occurs.

And I had Randy winning that fight.

Claiming nationalism was the reason Rampage won that fight is just childish whining from Anderson.

Same goes for the Couture/Rizzo fight.

Not everyone has your same mindset my friend. Nationalism is still alive and well.

And in all honesty, if I was a judge, I'd always show some favoritism to the Armenian/Russian/Persian/Greek fighters.

Quinton being American has nothing to do with the reason why he won the decision.

I find myself defending Silva a lot on these boards, but I can't this time. I sincerely believe Rampage's status as an American had nothing to do with the decision. Silva is reaching here.

Of course, Rampage is automatically a better person because he is American though.

I thought Machida won (barely), but I don't really care. This is the MMA gods righting the wrong from Machida/Rua 1. Never liked him that much anyway. Wanted 'Page to win. One thing I've always respected about him is that he admits when he lost even when the judges don't.

I understand that judges sometimes act in favor of certain nationalities, but I think Silva was just making excuses this time.

Rampage fought a great fight and I believe he is one of the top 5 LHW when at his best. This only strengthens that belief for me; I haven't seen anyone, apart from Shogun, cut off Machida like Rampage did.

The judges definitely screwed Lyoto.

And its sad but true; judge are always biased in some fashion, whether its MMA or the Olympics. Not only do they tend to judge along national lines (when they do slant the results, that is), but it also seems to apply to styles as well. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the UFC topdogs seem to be more partial to Western boxing and wrestling than the Eastern martial arts. Rampage is American, speaks English, a wrestler (something Americans are familiar with), and was in a summer blockbuster where he portrayed an iconic 80's character. These all may or may not have been factors that swayed the judges professional opinions.

Randy Couture hit the nail on the head when he said that because the judges haven't trained in the variety of styles that are being displayed in the octagon, they really don't know what to look for. It becomes far too subjective in that case.
