Ufc 130 lost Edgar/Maynard 3 due to injuries. 😐

Just got posted on mmajunkie

****! More time I gotta wait for Showtime to get his title shot.

Lmfao, this is ridiculous. Name ANYONE in the current UFC welterweight division that could have replicated Jake's 15 fight win-streak outside of the UFC. The same exact opponents he faced. Be honest.

I'll be here waiting and expect to laugh at the response.

The same way you did when I said Bones was too hungry & talented for Shogun? 🙂 Knock yourself out, broseph. GSP would have had an even longer win streak if he was fighting the same people Shields did.

GSP wont even move up to MW, so I doubt that.

Yeah, this is all hypothetical shit anyway. Longer streaks obviously don't make you the better fighter, otherwise Shields woulda beat GSP 😄. I doubt Shields could even beat Kos

Lawl, I figured it was implied that I was talking about any other WW in the UFC other than GSP, as GSP can't fight himself.

As bad as the fight was, Shields is probably the most credible opponent GSP has defended the title against.

Nah. He wouldn't beat KOS. You heard it here 1st.

Can you imagine how good Shields could be if he actually knew how to strike.

you know how much more entertaining MMA would be if more people knew how to strike.

He'd be virtually unstoppable below LHW honestly.

Not nearly as entertaining as someone who doesn't know what the 'eff they are talking about. 131

He'd be damn near unbeatable & 100 times more fun to watch. Same w/Ben Askren

Nice way to dodge the question.

There's way too much rolling around and playing grab-ass in MMA. We need to see some more Liddell's and Cro-Cops. I understand the importance of grappling and everything, but when an MMA event turns into one big Collegiate-style wresling meet, then that's just boring and a big gyp.

If only. 🙁

I love Liddell, my favorite fights of his are against Rampage.

I agree though, by and large, with the fact that we need more fighters that go after it. There are way too many decision artists in MMA today.

Some truth in this, look at Silva and the way Brock and Randy recently got destroyed... Although it's not the whole story.

The problem is the current rules. When one of the safest positions to be in MMA is grabing someones' torso while you have your knees on the ground, you know something is wrong.

Also, come on, no upkicks why?

This is why I liked PRIDE, aside from maybe the first 8 events, which iirc were some of the most boring things I ever suffered through; for the most part, they were exciting.

Pride was the greatest. Wand and Shogun's soccer kicks were sick. But they had to get the k.o, otherwise anytime they'd fight a Jap to decision, the judges would give it to the Jap. It's was like K1. Still, PRIDE has been the best promotion so far.

Definitely. Pride was the greatest. The presentation was simply leagues above anything we've had in the West.
