Yeah. I actually don't remember him clinching at all. Maybe he wanted a slugfest?

what i dont understand, Shogun and Wanderlei did not even try to thai clinch their opponents as they have done in Pride.

Anderson does it perfectly. why cant Shogun and Wandy? They are all from Chute Boxe (were technically)

I still say Shogun lost because he got tired. He had the upperhand up to that point. I don't think it was his lack of clinching like in Silva's case.

I just remembered that Nog beat cocky ass Silvia... 😂

'Randy has always had a weakness against heavyweights, and against strikers, and I'm the best of both.'

*ya, I'm watching Randy vs Tim. Glass jaw got caught early... classic fight.

Wandy should have done this against Liddell.

apparently Wandy trained at Couture's gym, but not with Couture for the LIddell fight.

i'm guessing it's Wandy vs Jardine next.

I like watching that before the fight. It makes the fight much more priceless when he gets his ass handed to him by the "old" guy.

That's weird. It's like H.Alexander fell off the planet or something after his loss. I wanna see him fight again.

Thiago exposed him. As Machida did with Sokoudjou. Sokoudjou vs H. Alexander makes sense right now. Both are heavy hitters.

more updates:

Machida vs Ortiz is coming up. Ortiz said this will be his last UFC fight. He's leaving for another organization.

Ortiz should just retire as fighter. He just doen't have it anymore IMO. He is very good coach and I think he should make the full transition into that aspect of the game.

definitley. Ortiz is someone i'd have in my corner and as a conditioning/cardio coach.

I want Machida to win... however, when Tito was back in his prime, he would have won easily IMO.

not a chance IMO.

Whatup? Who are you guys taking for Sat. fight? Going with Hendo... I think he's far more battle tested than Silva. He will not be afraid to get hit and return the favor, and his clinch is as good as you will find in MMA.

I think Hendo will win. After watching how many times he got hit in the Rampage fight... I can't see him going down.
Although, at the same time, I can see Silva somehow pulling it out fast.

Hmm...

I honestly can't decide who will between Silva and Henderson. It's such a good matchup.

I can't even root for one over the other either. I like both of them.

Silva is training with Filho and Nogueira. Nog knows exactly how Henderson fights.

right now, Silva has the better training partners, but we can't just base it off that.

Silva needs to make Henderson chase him around and he needs to look for the counters. Fight goes to the ground, Hendo needs to look for the mount or GnP from side.

I got Hendo winning this. Silva needs to look for the submission. All i can say really.

Sticking with Hendo.

I can see a big upset (a KO against him... possibly), but I'm sticking with Hendo.

On another note... did anyone see the prelim fights?

Arlovski
Sanchez
Koscheck

Are they joking with this? 🤨

yea, but Koscheck said in an interview that he doesn't care. he's still getting the same amount of $$$. thats all that matters really. the fights that are exciting CAN be shown during the event. hopefully we see the Arlovski one.

Still though... those are big names that are fighting like rookies...

Also, hopefully this gives AA motive to unleash like the good old days... Jake's good, but there should be no way he can beat AA from his champ phase, or before.
I want to see that fight a lot though... and it's a shame (or stupid) the prelims are based off the last fights being boring.

Silva is going to kick Hendo's @ss.

i'll be cheering for Silva cuz i just like his muay thai style of fighting, but i dont see him utilizing the thai clinch has well as he has done on his previous opponents.

this is Dan Henderson. Silva's toughest opponent ever.
