Cro Cop is no longer part of UFC. Reasons are unknown, but he has joined DREAM, a japan based MMA organization.

this IMO is great news, and if M1 cross-promotes with DREAM, we can have PRIDE ressurected.

the list of fighters that are or can be part of this organization is incredible.

Good, he sucked in UFC. I was expecting Cro Cop to come on and devastate his opponent but instead got his ass handed to him time and time again.

CC did decent in UFC. his transition wasn't as successful as Anderson Silva's or Rampage's.

He's a kickboxer, and he is use to a small ring where he can move around in small space to counter punches. The Octagon was huge compared to the ring.

he did good against Sanchez, he even said the guy was running around to much (ironically he does that in the Ring to counter strike)

his fight against GG wasn't bad until the fight went to the ground. GG ate CC's heart.

Kongo fight was just the last step. CC won round 1 from what i remember but the rest of the fight was all Kongo. CC even had Kongo mounted at one point of the fight. Those knees to the groin ripped out CC's soul.

i don't think he's going to be the same CC from Pride EVER.

just checked other forums.

Mirko said he WILL return to the UFC. he is fighting in DREAM to build up his motivation and get his mentality in order.

he needs tune up fights.

The tune-up fights are alright, but I hope he does return to UFC at some point. He needs to come back and prove he belongs in the top 5 again. I believe he can do it. Let's not forget that Crocop has hit some rocks in his career before. Even when he was still in K-1 he lost some fights against people he was expected to dominate like McDonald. Still, he always managed to come back and set things straight. For example, he avenged a loss to Randleman(via submission strangely enough) in a rematch and went on to beat Bonjasky and Hunt after his lost to Mcdonald.

Of course, there is always the possibility that it's simply time for Crocop to conisder retirement, but I think he still has many good fights left in him. I guess we'll see what happens though.

Where's Genki Sudo?

WEC on right now

Genki retired from fighting. I believe he wants to be an actor.

It's a shame. He was such an exciting fighter, and I so wanted a rematch between him and Yamamoto. That match was an utter BS stoppage on the referee's part.

Sudo retired last year and yea as StyleTime said, he's in the acting business and apparently he's doing pretty well for himself.

That was a really good event. Anyone watching Kimbo/Tank?

Tank may as well just retire now... that way he won't get any more ass kickings on his slate.

Kimbo showed me nothing, except for the fact that he lost to an old mma legend. simple as that.

But without a doubt, Bas has turned him from a street fighter into a mixed martial artist.

He needs to face some decent competition.

Just found out about this...

No joke, the man's lost his "eye of the tiger," and I hope he finds it again soon.

Shogun looks awful at the moment, there a clip of him REALLY out of shape. if i find it, i'll post it.

the Shogun from Pride can defeat anyone in the LHW division. we all know this, but this transition is unfortuante.

i'll be cheering for Shogun, but if the Shogun from the Forrest fight walks in the octagon against Liddell, there will be a stoppage by round 2.

I don't think it's a very good match-up for Shogun.

I agree. I always saw Chuck as having great chances against even the proverbial Pride Shogun.

That's not to say Shogun will get destroyed or even lose. I just think he needs a tune up before Chuck.

My thoughts exactly. If an unexperienced fighter like Forrest was able to dominate a more experienced fighter like Chuck will break him in the first round.

what i dont understand, Shogun and Wanderlei did not even try to thai clinch their opponents as they have done in Pride.

Anderson does it perfectly. why cant Shogun and Wandy? They are all from Chute Boxe (were technically)

I wondered why Silva wasn't trying to clinch more in that fight.

i dont remember him showcasing anything he did in Pride. as i said before, he dropped Liddell twice (once could have been a slip) but he never went for the kill.
