I'd have to say the early favorite for the Superbowl is the Bears.

It's too early to tell.

But I have to say the Bears do have a very good chance.

I'm confused. Does this mean that the younger refs think they are high and mighty? Or that more should be employed?

i mean they need more youth. Some of these guys are just too old. Theres no way they are seeing everything clearly enough, i hate to be so biased against old people but there are just way too many mistakes. Either they arnt trained good enough or its just too hard for them to see whats going on.

I would agree the bears are the superbowl favorite for the NFC. after last night they definitely deserve the #1 spot. If seattle pulls out home field advantage over them, and they have alexander back in the playoffs it will be a very different story.

The only time I root for the Seahawks and they lose. face-plain
How do you give up 36 points to the Bears?

I dunno, how do the Bengals get held to 13 against a questionable New England Secondary? Our Offensive Line needs to fix something thats for damn sure. Thank God its a bye week.

and at home no less. Suspending chris henry certainly made it a lot easier on NE. Its very hard to double CHad and cover TJ and Henry. DId they do more 2 TE sets to use max protection? cause they definitely need to protect carson more.

i think im gonna start a log on blatantly blown calls... Jennings was just held unbelievably bad. That was some of the most obvious pass interference ever. Inside the 5 yard area he was all over him (thats ok) but he just never let go, he had his arm wrapped around him the entire route it was rediculous for there to be no call there. (generally im upset about phantom calls, but when refs love to call so much BS its that much worse when they miss an obvious call.

The Packers got trampled! 😄

We need to run the ball more....I don't know why they stopped letting Rudi Pound it, and I mean before we were way behind.

Also It seems like without our Center Rich Braham the
O-Line is clueless on what to do. I hope it is just nagging injuries that the bye can heal up, otherwise it could be a long season for Palmer . Of course he can talk to David Carr on how to cope with getting sacked 10 times a game if he needs to.

lol yea, this year he can talk to Daunte.. hes gone down 21 times already

Good...do it.

These weekly expert shows take no consideration into the reffing crew and the penalty tendencies that usually play a significant part in most games.

Just try to bring up penalty talk before a matchup and they'll say, "Who cares? Play the game." Then, the bad call in the 4th quarter is all they're talking about for 3 days after the game's over.

we could get 2 monday night games if the twins/A's series goes the distance. Unfortunatly I think both games would still be 8:30 so im not sure if the vikings game would even be covered much on tv.

lol the woman (dana something?) on cold pizza just reffered to aaron rodgers as aaron brooks twice. Thats maybe the worst thing you could call a QB next to ryan leaf.

What does that have to do with 2 Monday Night games? EDIT - Oh, are you talking about 1 baseball and 1 football?

On Jim Rome on my lunch break, he posed the very intriguing essay question: "Is there such a thing as great running backs, or great offensive lines? Edgerrin James used to be a great running back, and now he's just a guy."

oh sorry i didnt explain that the twins and vikings play in the same stadium. Game 5 would be in minnesota on sunday vikings play at home on sunday. Obviously that does work, baseball playoffs would be the priority so Vikings would be moved to monday night.

The jim rome thing. Its a good point but not a valid one. I believe O-Line DEFINITELY matters. However take a "great" rb and an average one behind the same O-line and the "great" one will be far better. However even great RB's will struggle behind a bad O-line. What makes a RB great is their speed, ability to break tackles, ability to see the hole and bust a big play. If the defense is in the backfield the same time the ball touches their hands because the O-line sucks there is nothing ANY RB can do about it.

I know that, I just forgot baseball was still going on.

The NFL shouldn't yield to baseball. They don't yield for sh*t. On New Year's Day Sundays, they make 'em play the Bowl Games on Jan. 2nd. Baseball can schedule their playoff games for three in the morning in a South Dakota parking lot and me and 50 million* other Americans would never know.

* = I'm sorry if that last figure of 50 million seems a little low, for I just estimated.

It's funny about James.

People during the offseason was saying that Payton Manning cant survive without James (or just not as good as he was last 2 years) and that without James, every team will play the pass and the Colts will start losing.

But didnt anybody think that maybe James cant survive without Manning and that excellent passing offense?

Just think about it, teams wouldnt put 8 defenders in the box all the time because of the fear of getting beat deep, now they can because Warner is not Manning and the 2 WR's are not as complete as Indy's. Also, they dont have the experience that Harrison has with running routes and such.

I just think that James had it pretty lucky in the NFL with the Colts. Even though, he is still a great RB.

Thats life in the NFL. You either make more money and play for a losing team, or take less and play for a contender.

yes that is true
but who wouldnt like to be a contender?
except for T.O., i guess eveyone would like to be a contender rather than get paid mmore

TO went to philly and then dallas.. he has been jumping to the contenders.. he definitely wants to be on a contender. Unlike Moss who went to Oak to be a no body.

not cool man
and TO got TRADED there
