Let me say that the CJ thing is a great case of where you CAN use the "excuse" that he had a Pop Warner QB throwing him the ball.
First off, I went to GT and never argued about Dayne getting the Heisman over Hamilton and will admit that they are an overrated team against weaker competition - something any "contender" should never be. Point is, I'm not a fanboy (as I might be a little guilty of with the Stillers.)
That being said, I watch all of their games. They're on TV where I live, and I devote 3 hours to them per Saturday. Oh, and Reggie Ball sucks. He had 3 or 4 "good games," and they always seemed to come against Auburn for some reason. The rest of the time -- hey, anybody remember seeing a guy named Andrew Walter play last year? It was like that on NEARLY EVERY DAMN PASS ATTEMPT. Reggie was lucky to unload the ball, and when he did, it was usually a dirt ball. Calvin didn't just hurdle 2 or 3 defenders against West Virginia. He had to do it very, very often. And the games where Calvin didn't "show up" (a.k.a. against UGA)? Look at Reggie Ball's stats for those games. He was usually around 7 for 29, with CJ getting 4 acrobatic grabs for about 18 yards because Ball couldn't do anything with the ball (no pun intended). Bottom line is, Reggie had no balls. (pun intended).

Jerry Rice wasn't the fastest receiver and neither is T.O. They both ran 4.6+ at the combine. People tend to forget about history when comparing these two. The combine is pointless and overrated yet people praise it like allah.

I didn't know T.O. and Jerry Rice ran slow 40 times. It just proves to me that the 40yard dash is overrated and not necessary. Especially since Jerry Rice became an all pro receiver, superbowl winner and hall of famer. Do you think the Titans will draft Dwayne Jarrett with their 319th pick?

Titans need help in plenty of areas. Pacman is gone so now secondary is an issue again. S are gaining experience and the DL is so so and Bulluck is the only solid LB.
OL and WR are the issues on offense. They need a lot of help

Overrated, and overhyped. People think he wins games by himself which is bullshit (aside from the national championship, but considering the defense were a bunch of morons, I dont know). Once he loses a step, he's ****ed.
The Titans are lucky to get .500 this year. They lost more players than they got. No CB's, D-Line aint great without any rushers, RB situation is bad with Lendale White being the main guy, no WR at all that scares anybody and yeah, the team could be shit.

I made this video for the Jarrett illiterate, notice how precisely he runs his routes and how many times he fakes his defenders out or gets position on them. I am sorry but I don't see any of that in Calvin Johnson, dude can't run routes like a should be able to. In most of his catches he doesn't have position but uses his size and leaping ability which are two things Jarrett has. Plus he is pushing off when he doesn't need to and he isn't using his body like he should be doing.
Let me just say a couple things:
#1 I did not decide CJ was the #1 WR from the combine, I decided this well before then because he makes great plays, is an amazing athlete and I see insane potential in him.
#2 College stats dont always dictate the better player, ie Hawaii QB's USC WR's who have every offensive advantage there could be.
#3 No you dont have to be the fastest WR to be the best, but speed helps and you have to get seperation some how. DJ could still be good, but CJ having GREAT speed and GREAT size cant not be used against him.
#4 Mike williams doesnt perform because he doesnt get PT? I am sorry you gotta perform to get PT its not like he hasnt had his chances and Kitna was throwing all day every day so WR's had plenty of shots to make their mark in Det, hell williams has had several years.
#5 Yes homerism does influence people, luckily I hate GT more than I do USC so I am in the clear.

1. Calvin hasn't done a damn thing that Jarrett hasn't done.
2. Yeah stats do dictate something and don't compare USC to Hawaii please, weak conference and USC plays top notch opponents every year and Jarrett has torched them every year.
3. Great speed? Do you see him running? That speed is not great, it is OK but nowhere near great. On field he is faster than Jarrett but his speed is not top notch.
4. Williams has been given a few years and that is it. Wasn't this past season only his 3rd season? You calling him a bust already? What ever happened to "give him time" that is always said about developing players. He is barely 23.
6. I look at his vertical leap as making up for his lack of route running skills. Jarrett is also 6-5 and his vertical leap is no joke. Look at him on the field, dude rises up for every ball thrown his way.
I still fail to see what he has over Jarrett besides speed. Looking at their game tape, you don't see a difference in vertical leap. People don't want to admit it because they know it isn't that much but the only thing CJ has over Jarrett is speed. If Jarrett had Ted Ginn speed he would be the best thing since sliced bread or Ben n Jerry's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

As a matter of act, he has only played 2 seasons in the NFL. Were you expecting him to dominate the league in 2 seasons after being away from football for a whole year? People who label him as a bust...I just don't know what to say, doesn't make much sense to me.
