Well looking at the 4th round closer I expect Troy to go here, the vikings and the ravens both have 2 picks in the round so I dont see both of them passing twice on him.

Holy shit. Oak definitely has one of the worst WR cores in the NFL now. Randy Moss was just traded to the PATRIOTS!

F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sorry but I at this point they are huge superbowl favorites and I hate that.

Oak got University of Cincinnati cornerback John Bowie with the draft pick the Pat's gave them.

Also Moss is willing to rework his deal because his main goal is just to win a superbowl.

Oh and seattle and SF finally reached a deal to move Darrel Jackson.

But will he be Randy Moss from the Vikings, or Randy Moss of the Raiders.

I think its a bad fit for the Patriots. I know Belicheck is a great coach and alot of the times, its about him, but I dont know, I think he will get extremely frustrated of Moss for not trying on plays.

Patriots super bowl winners? I hate the Pats, but I now know the Colts don't have a ****ing chance in beating them.

Second straight time I am talking about a receiving unit being the best in the NFL and someone gets traded. Something tells me the Raiders plan on moving Porter too, but they should have made it a package deal. Moss and Porter and you could have gotten a real good player.

No offense to your friends but if they expected him to go 1st or early second they dont know much about the draft.

Most of them don't, but there is one friend that completly agrees on everything with the draft.

Troy Smith is going to be a starter somewhere in the future.

Someday...

I heared nonbody wanted Moss to atleast around an 4th round pick. Porter might have added another round to that, but nothing huge.

I dont know...they're Superbowl contenders easily, but I still think the Colts have a very good chance of beating the Patriots. They still have Manning and co. and that defense is not bad. It would be a good matchup, but I think the Patriots dont have the Superbowl already. Thier secondary is still somewhat suspect with Harrison and Meriweather. Samual is good, but I dont who else they have.

It's funny that you think the Raiders have the best WR core before Moss was traded. Everybody else was in the assumption that they werent even close. I was reading some analysis of Moss and the guy (who might be wrong or right, but still makes interesting) is saying that Moss might never be what he was because he relied heavily on his speed to get past people and the older he gets, the less speed he is. So unlike Harrison, who relies on supberb precision routes and TO who relies on his physical style, Moss might not be that good anymore. What if this was the case? Kinda makes Moss an regular WR and not the Vikings reciever who dominated people.

But he is still fast, some dude from ESPN said JUST the other day Moss ran a 4.30 or something below that. He still has his speed but I agree, he relies too heavily on it. I don't think he will last as long as T.O. but he still a top calibur receiver.

Going to New England will help him alittle bit with Brady being such a great QB.

Pats secondary isnt the best, but up front they are killer, and they have an average to good secondary.

Well I was right about the team for Troy Smith just not the round. At least his only competition is Boller who has already failed. (once McNair finally retires that is)

He went to the Ravens????

I kind of wanted him to go to the Vikings, considering we have no one but Tavaris Jackson and yeah my point.

He might be the starter for them in the future. Boller is shit and as you said Mcnair is getting old.

Yea i figured vikings or ravens would take him. Vikes have 1 more pick they could go Leak in round 7. (would be a bad choice, Id go Zabranskey)

I've seen cornerbacks stay with Moss him much more easily than when he was with the Vikings. Part of that has to do with him not giving a crap, another is he isn't as fast as he once was. Personally I don't see this being a HUGE upgrade for NE. Yes, he is better than anything NE had at WR but he isn't the same player he once was, Gillete's bad conditions will hamper his speed (his main attribute other than his height), and he isn't as good at running precise routes as Brown did. Not to mention he sucks at blocking and even in his Viking days, he would take plays off.

That combination is just going to piss of Belicheck.

I see him being cut in the next year.

If Bill cuts him then he's dumb, any team would love to have Moss as their #1. He is one of the leagues best receivers.

saying any team would love to have him is false. He has been on the trading block for quite a while, and the best they could get was a 4th round pick. Clearly a lot of teams didnt want him that bad. A guy any team would want to be their #1 is someone like Harrison or Chad Johnson. Either of them would get a 1st round pick from any number of teams in a heartbeat.

I probly would too.

Moss is clearly an elite receiver when he tries. And he is going to try when he has someone good throwing him the ball. If your team doesn't have a #1 receiver and you don't go after him, then you are IDIOTIC. Raiders were probably asking for too much, any team would love to have him.
