NFL Talk

It's a well-known fact that a lot of inmates try to entertain themselves through literature. I'm glad that an up-and-comer is enjoying the art of reading.

But let's not talk about prison just yet. We have to get through the court proceedings first.

I've never heard of this. So this would be like, while they're huddling, the commercial is superimposed over the background? Or is it like a box in the upper left-hand corner? Or does the 10-second spot take up the entire screen (commercial-style) and then it would revert back to the action when they're approaching the line of scrimmage?

There is a couple of them.

One is during a break in play that's not important, lets say after an field goal, injury or something minor, the shot reverts to the scoreboards in the stadium and they superimpose the image they want on the scoreboard so it looks like its in the stadium.

And then during the huddle, or the same criteria above, they go to an 10 second spot and an annoucer (prerecorded obviously) talks the line of the company and an animation, usually something to do with the company is shown. I think its also superimposed over the crowd, but it could also be some generic from whatever it is.

The problem is that there is still commmercials in the normal spots.

😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

At first, I was like, what are you laughing at, then I realized about the cartoons.

Anything that makes fun of Vick is hilarious to me. The man is the f*cking scum of the Earth and I hate him. I hope he get's anal'd in jail for the rest of his life.

He will.

I never heard somebody use, "anal'd". Very delightful.

He will never be back in the NFL. He's done.

Anybody want to add to the All-Arrest Team, a.k.a. Mean Machine II, be my guest. You can see they run a 3-4 defense.

You're right. I think Fred Smoot or Deshea Townsend are better players and they deserve the nod at CB. Pacman will come in in nickel and dime situations. If Ahmad Carroll was halfway worth a damn he would have been a lock considering he appeared on this list with the word "arrest" by his name about as much as Pacman did.

Bot, take off Kiel and bring in Sean Taylor...what were you thinking!!!

He'll be playing again in 3 years.

for the Canadian Football League.

Doubt it. The NFL isn't going to ban him for life. And some legal analyst think if he cooperates enough, he can avoid jail time and just get probation. Doubt that too, but with only 12-16 months in prison, his return to the NFL is very likely.

Nope. Not with gambling charges. That's almost an automatic ban.

Then, in three years, who wants an convicted criminal who kills dogs, or was there when dogs were killed. No team in thier right mind wants that type of publicity and protests up the ass if they sign him. In three years, Vick will be just another QB.

I don't think a team who wants to win is going to care about tree huggers protesting outside of their....stadium? And I guarantee you there are an equal or more amount of people who want to see him play versus the people that don't.

And Vick didn't admit to the gambling charges. That's not in the plea and he's not being charged with that.

Yeah, he did. He admitted he was sole bankroller for the gambling operation on the dog fight. That breaks the NFL policy that Vick signed when he started playing.

He clearly violeted the NFL rules, thus getting indefinite suspension.

Really, owners care about winning and getting Vick after not being in the NFL will get them that Superbowl? Come on, he hasnt won it yet, what makes you think he will win after 3 years?

Teams do care about protesters and bad images. This isnt an drunk driving charge. Its dogfighting and killing dogs. That's a complete different story.

When Vick returns in three years or longer, I think he'll be a dog mascot for some team.

if he wasent the bankroller for the gambling operation, would he have still been suspended indefinatley by the NFL???
