NFL Talk

Your getting your wording wrong.

Broadcast means that Sunday Ticket is the channel that is showing the games. Its not, its just name of a package.

NBC broadcast the show because it went through its channel. When you watch Sunday Ticket, its not through a Sunday Ticket channel, but just CBS or Fox channel routed through the package.

Yeah, but you get that caffeine-charged host at the beginning of the day's games, saying "Hey, like thanks for tuning into Sunday Ticket! Enjoy the games!!"

I'll make it simple.

NBC has a channel

Directtv has a channel for Sunday Ticket games

Neither NBC or Directtv are covering the game

NFL Channel is covering the game

Fox is covering the game

The game is being broadcast through the NBC channel, though they aren't covering the game

The game is being broadcast through the channel Directtv has specifically set up for Sunday Ticket games, though they aren't covering the game

Just return Sunday Ticket if you can't understand this.

Directtv is broadcasting the game because it's their channel. I forget which numbers the games are on, so lets just say 756. That is a channel. There is a game on that channel, that is being covered by Fox. It's Fox's feed. But they are broadcasting the game, through their channel.

A method of sending information over a network.

Fox's Feed>>>>Fox 11>>>Channel 756 = broadcast

Fox's Feed>>>Fox 11 Channel = broadcast

NFL Channel Feed>>>NBC = broadcast

Really?

I dont get that.

All I get is that at 12:59, the channel that says Cowboys vs Browns will turn on. Sometimes its after 1:03 and I start freaking out.

But I never get any sort of announcer or anything.

Haha, Smas, it looks like you're saying "Really? I don't get that" to Evo's reply because you both practically posted at the same time.

"Sunday Ticket broadcast of the Fox and CBS games."

Meaning they are showing the Fox and CBS games. If they didn't broadcast anything, then there would be no Sunday Ticket.

Think of it like this, though it's not exactly the same. NBC showed the Giants-Pats game last season in week 17. But it was the NFL channel's feed.

Everyone knows everything you two are saying. This is common knowledge, at least for those who have had Sunday Ticket before.

Hey, Lord Evo.

I've had Directv for five years now. This is my third year purchasing the NFL Sunday Ticket. I look forward to watching different games starting on sunday. Who do you want to have a good year?

The NFL Trojans.

But first and foremost, I want the Cowboys, and more importantly, T.O. to win the Super Bowl.

They have a chance. Who knows?

I'll be rooting for Polamalu to succeed on a few more open-field tackles and not get stuffed at the line of scrimmage on LeBeau's so-called "exotic" blitz packages. And a few more INT's.

Weak games by both teams.

The Giants looked really good at the start, but weak afterwords. I cant believe the Redskins didnt have 4 INT's because they want straight through each guys hand.

Washington looks bad also. What the hell were they thinking near the 5 minute mark in the last quarter.

Interesting but boring game..

Jim Zorn needs to learn how to coach

I'm just mad when the Giants got the ball at the 1 they didn't give it to Jacobs and instead ran with Eli. 13 Would have been 6 more points for my team. He still had a pretty good game though.

Tatum Bell is an idiot...
Rudi steals his job, so Tatum Bell steals his duffel bag.

I didn't see the game but is that what happened??? If I lose in my league Ima be pissed.

The TD was a bootleg pass, but there was a wide open area so Eli just bootlegged in by himself.

It was strange considering Brandon Jacobs was unstoppable and the Redskins would not have stopped him on the 1 yard line.

This is exactly the reason I have conditioned (forced) myself to absolutely clear my mind of all fantasy stuff until Monday mornings. It took 7 years, but I did it and enjoy the games more.

Of course, being in 5 leagues, it also came to the point where almost any given skill player on the field was either for me or against me. I think one time I had T.O. on 3 of my teams and against me in 2 other leagues.

But to the game, Madden called it right off the bat. Kick the field goal, recover the miracle onside kick, and perform the miracle hail mary. Despite the odds against that happening, it would have still gave the Skins a better chance to win than what they actually did with 13 seconds left.

yea sometimes teams get too creative. yes eli scored on the bootleg and yes a run with jacobs was obvious. but when u have a big power back and 1st and goal on the 1 i think u hand it to him 3 times if he cant get in he prolly shouldnt have his job. they also took jacobs out and ran ward (who got stuffed) on one 3rd and short.

at the end madden was right. you absolutely have to kick the fg, then onside, hail marry. even if the deep pass would have scored, after the onside there wouldnt be time to get closer for a fg so they would have to throw up a hail merry anyway. You could say well hes a rookie coach but youd think being around football and an ex qb hed know better.

I enjoy it better when I'm thinking of my team and whoever I'm against. It makes the games more exciting IMO, or at least the games that I wasn't that interested in to begin with.

Yeah, thats what I do also.
