Cowboys/Browns - Sooo, does RAC want to confess that he was the mastermind behind the 3-man pass rush!!!????? I know the offense will get better, but like I was saying a few weeks ago, this defense got even swiss cheesier than before. And they're only going to get worse. I saw Rogers, a freakin' NT, get pushed backwards 4 yards on back-to-back plays! Eric Wright and Wimbley are the only defensive playmakers they have. That's 2 playmakers out of 11. I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers rush for 250 on this team Sunday night. And every other team rush for 250 against the Browns as well, for that matter.

The D played terrible Sunday, but in defense of Rogers a little bit, our coaches only rushed 3 and Rogers was getting blocked by 3 Cowboys lineman most of the time. I really think the big problem with our D is that we don't have the personel to run the 3 - 4.

I know that expectations are high this season for the Browns but I didn't expect them to win against Dallas, I thought they would compete though... I'm not going to say the boat is sinking yet, teams play 16 games for a reason, but things aren't looking too good. I want to see how we do when we have everyone healthy.

The only bright spot on the Browns roster last weekend was Anderson. He played pretty well and they would of scored again if Edwards didnt drop a hundred passes. Also Winslow looked good but somehow mysteriously disappeared in the next three quarters. I guess Dallas played him very well.

Edwards was rusty and it showed. I agree and thought Anderson did good for what he was able to do. Winslow disappearing is more play-calling then Dallas shutting him down, but Dallas's D played a great game.

I think you have the personal to run the 3-4.

I don't know about your middle LB's, but you do have to prototypical OLB's, and your front line is pretty big. Doesnt mean that they are any good though.

I think you guys will do alright. You did play one of the best teams in the league and they were pretty good yesterday. You had a chance to compete but you did alright. If Edwards caught a few passes, had a few guys healthy, you would of competed.

Teams don't respect our blitz so when we do try to send Wimbley he just gets double teamed and is ineffective. McGinest is past his prime and I think he should be on the sidelines, just my opinion though. I think our front 3 are good but our MLB's, Davis and Jackson, seem to get lost easily.

Yeah, if Edwards catches that one long ball down the middle then the game is tied 14 - 14, could have changed some things. Having Stallworth out didn't help either.

I think we'll do alright as well, I just get bummed after a loss. Especially now that we've been picked to make the playoffs and the team that played Sunday didn't look like a playoff team.

Well, alot of teams did not look like playoff teams last year, and your team played the best team in the NFC, or one of the best.

True.

You know what would be funny? If Aaron Rogers and the Packers won the Superbowl without Farve.

True.. It could happen, but hopefully not

I hope and pray that Cassell kicks ass this year and Brady is cast aside.

Brady won't ever be let go from New England.

Even if he did, it's not going to magically make him a shitty player.

Cassell came in against a poor KC defense and they still only won by a TD. The Pats will win games but they just lost a big piece of the machine that could have led them to the Super Bowl.

I know, I was just saying, you know? It'd be justice, because of the whole Bledsoe thing years ago.

Just in after playing like crap anyway Merriman decided not to ruin his career and have the season ending surgery.

Brady didnt do anything wrong.

I know, wasn't attacking you or anything like that.

Just pointing out that Brady is no scrub and is not a "product of the system".

RJ is a big Bledsoe fan and thinks the coaches should have given the team back to him when he was healthy in the playoffs that year.

Which, IMO, wasn't an option seeing as how Brady got them there. Also consider that the Pats weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs.

I know, man. 😄

I am not a big Bledsoe fan, I just think that Bledsoe took the Pats to another level, he was on the verge of taking himself to the next level, then he was injured. In stepped Brady and won X amount of games, when Bledsoe would likely have done the same, or close.

Bledsoe was 100% ready for the playoffs, they should have at least given him the chance.

My bad, I could have sworn you told me you were a big Bledsoe fan.😛

But Brady came in, against all odds, and took them to the playoffs then eventually to a Super Bowl win. Bledsoe was sidelined all year with a head injury. If Bellicheck plays Bledsoe in the playoffs then we probably aren't talking about the Pats being a dynasty.

Brady wasn't even supposed to be in the league long, given his combine workouts and his few starts at Michigan. The team had gelled with him as QB and the staff felt that he deserved to show what he could do.

My hatred towards Tom Brady blinds me from your perfectly good retort to my post. 🥷

You gotta wonder though. What if Cassell kicks ass all season, gels with the Pats, takes them to the playoffs, then Brady is ready to go? You think Brady will get the start?

unless cassell plays at a record breaking level it will go back to Brady.

I don't think Cassell will kick ass, but I don't think they trade/let Brady go even if he does. Bellicheck would cash in on Cassell and trade him.

Brady is the face of their franchise right now and has won 3 Super Bowls. No way is he let go/traded.
