Cassell is younger, if he plays at the same level as Brady consistently all season, it's gonna be a tough call.

I know that is far fetched, but hey, stranger things have happened.

It's very far-fetched. 😛

Cassell may be younger, but Brady is a master of the position.

Cassell looked terrible in the pre-season, New England was a different team with him at QB. He played ok against the Chiefs and got them the W, but he is no Tom Brady.

Tom Brady was no Drew Bledsoe when he took the reins, now was he?

No, but Brady has proven that he is/was a better QB then Bledsoe.

I see how you're trying to spin this with the whole "Brady wasn't anything when Bledsoe got hurt so Cassell could do the same thing, etc" but it's not going to happen.

Do I think that Cassell will have a monster year and explode into a franchise QB? No. I think he can manage games and with the surrounding players, MAYBE get to the playoffs (don't count on it though), but Brady is a major reason why they have been a dominant team since 01.

Not trying to spin anything, just saying that nothing is impossible. Improbable? Unlikely? Yes, but Impossible? No.

Bledsoe wasn't nearly as good as Brady is at this moment.

As a Cowboy fan, I have some respect for Bledsoe because he did help out the team. Remember, the Boy's had nothing before he came in and he did a serviceable job. However, Romo was turning some heads during minicamps, training camps and preseason games that people wanted to see him play, so when Bledsoe threw that awful pass to Glenn which got intercepted for nearly six, Romo got his chance.

That scene will be remembered for years to come.

But how good was Brady when Bledsoe went down?

This just in...Vince Young is dead. Just kidding, but he may as well be. I was talking to some guy last night and we came up with the following "flashbacks" of Gimpce Young's pro career:

1) He wasn't even the guy Jeff Fisher wanted. Ownership wanted him for instant PR - Fisher wanted Leinert.
2) Remember after year 1 (which wasn't that bad of a rookie year), Vince was talking about walking away from the game?
3) Last Sunday, after Int#2, Young didn't want to go back in the game, but Fisher pushed him back in. Fisher even said that Vince's reluctance to play was more from emotions than any injury.
4) The Titans have to babysit him. What is he, on suicide watch? LOL. How many players who leave their cell phone somewhere else get an automatic police search and rescue squad?

I predict that by 2011, he'll be out of football. Maybe even on a cruise with fellow UT alum Ricky Williams.

Ahahahhaha....

I so saw this happening, as of alot of people on this board.

I dont know how good Brady was. I assume that he was showing some promise.

I am pretty sure he was on the same level as Cassell was.

Not at all Brady was a starter at MICHIGAN and was only in his second year. During his first year he was able to earn his way from the #4 QB to the #2 backup spot which gave him his shot when Bledsoe went down. Cassel sat the bench in college (he started 1 game at TE!) and has been in the league several years now without impressing anyone. And as it was already said Bledsoe wasnt performing anywhere near the level Brady is now when he got replaced.

They have already said that the most of the locker room prefers Collins. As long as Collins doesnt play bad I think it just became his job to lose ala Leinart/Warner.

QB’s mother: Titans’ Young ‘hurting inside’

I hope Vince doesn't have any real problems

You are gonna have a bad game. His expections are so high, he hasn't lived up to his potential. He's a great athlete. A quarterback, a long way from it

Collins is a veteran. If he doesn't throw too many interceptions, Tenn be ok

Well, I come to work each and every day hoping my co-workers treat me with respect and none of the customers boo me...but then again, I'm not exactly drowning in signing bonuses over here.

And even if I were, I think I'd leave Mom out of it.

I guess it wouldn't be so bad for Leinart it Young lost his job as well.

As for Cutler, he just needs to get hit by a train already.

Wasn't his last start at QB during a 1999 High School game?

yep, granted how many college QB's make the NFL without starting a single game? Shows what kind of prospect he was in highschool.. but that was a long time ago.

Willie Beaman haermm

I, for one will be glad if the Titans do draft a much better quaterback next season or the following season. Management wanted him over Leinert and Cutler now they are paying for it. Incidently management also make the mistake of not drafting a go to wide receiver.

Also of not, Reggie Bush will catch at least 100 catches due to Colstons thumb injury
