True.
In the end, it was a freak play. Williams should of been there but everybody was tackling the guy and I suspect alot of players would do that.
The ball was going to the WR, everybody went for him (every player would do that) and Leon Hall decided to tip it, which I think was the wrong play. In the split second it was in the air, the guys were going for Marshall.
If I was the coach, I would be devastated and would obviously be mad but it was a freak play.

was definitely a fluke. They were breaking it down though (I think on NFL network?) and had Tony Dungy talking about it. He blamed Roy completely. At the point Leon tipped it Roy had his eyes locked in on Marshall and never once looked at where the ball was. Dungy was saying that in that style of defensive coverage the WR is not his responsibility at all but he should be playing the ball. Had he been watching the ball he would of seen it get tipped and been there to get an INT/prevent anyone else from catching it.
As much as making a nice hit is tempting and a lot of guys might have done the same, Dungy's point was just that if he played the coverage like he is supposed to Stockely would have never had a chance.
Even though the season just started, the HoF nominees have been announced.
On the bill is Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith. Also, Tim Brown, Herschel Walker, Sterling Sharpe, Chris Carter and Andre Reed.
The preseason opener is usually teams with somebody that is being inducted. Is a 49er-Cowboy matchup pretty much a guarantee?

Hire me as a offensive coordinator....What not to do. Give Romo the ball and throw when it's not working.
What to do. GIve Barber, Choice and Jones the ball and run it down their ****ing throats.
I'm a genius. What a very strange game.
His plays do work though. The QB draw was a fantastic play.
His play calling has been hit or miss. Throughout the game, it was pretty good until the 4th. They get the lead, then the Giants punt, and Dallas goes back down the field and Romo throws the ****ing awful INT. If they score on that possession, the game is over unless something screwy happens. The Giants could not stop any RB on the Cowboys.
In the end, I can't believe Dallas lost. They were playing much better than the Giants but well, Manning played flawlessly and Dallas defence could not hold them on the last drive.
At least, the Cowboys did well. If Romo doesn't shit a brick, they will be fine.
I know I had this discussion last year on where this is what you get with Romo. He makes plays that you never expect but also loses the ball alot.
But, he hasn't been making those plays lately.....
Adams cheap ass play?
Huh? I understand a trip is against the rules but how is that cheap? Tuck didn't get injured from the trip, he got injured falling down. It was from the trip but that could of happen when he was sacking the QB.
People just hate the Cowboys because they are popular. They played well last night. If the team was the Lions, I would understand but it's the NY Giants.
Originally posted by SmasandianWhatever you say, big guy. So I can throw a bat at you and you'd be okay with that? I didn't hurt you, after all. My actions didn't either. It was the bat hitting you that hurt you. Of course, you could have walked into a door and gotten hurt the same way! Yeah, makes a lot of sense.
