But really, who believes the Colts defense is actually good. They never made any sort of plays when they counted.

they do have freeny who is a pass rushing machine.

Definitly.

But one DE wont make any difference if the secondary (gotta to be worst in the league), and linebacking crew (very young with no standout MLB) is not good at all.

They are very good at getting Takeways, but anything else, like making a stand at the goal line, or stopping a drive, they're pretty much useless. If it wasnt for Manning, the Colts would be alot worst team.

Freeney, I think, is going to be a "Free" agent (haha) after this year. He could be gone. They're in serious trouble because their "rebuilding of Defense" is going to be hit hard. They need to get his replacement in now.

You dont think they wont sign him?

I dont think they will keep James, but I think they might keep him. It all depends on how much Freeney is looking for.
And especially if the Colts go to the superbowl.

I think Manning should redo his contract. IF he really wants to win the Superbowl, he will have too.

The problem is he is hogging all the Defensive money. Don't forget they also have Mike Doss, too, eating a nice chunk of change. They already have a majority of their funds tied up in the offense, which leaves precious few $$$ for the Defense. Hence, that's why they suck!

Manning has so many weapons it's ridicolous, don't get me wrong...he's one of the best QB's in the game, but he does get too much credit if you ask me...i mean he's got one of the best running backs (atleast he is, when he's healthy) and he has arguably the best receiver in the league, plus he has Wayne and Stokely...he better make that team better with players like those

funny thing is colts D scores mad on fantasy points..

if we can get atleast like 8 or 10 people we can still do a fantasy league here.. maybe there is more interest now?

Well yeah. Hahaha

Manning is the best. Highest QB rating and TD ever. Was second in % (but thats misleading, his average length is the highest in the league), and has the fewest INTs (i presume)

James is great and so is Harrison.
But Wayne and Stokley are doing good because Manning is throwing the ball to him.
Even with the weapons, Manning still has to throw the ball to him

Its alot harder to be a QB and throw the ball then catching it.

thats a pretty ballsy statement

I dont think so.

Who gets blamed for losing games? The QB.

The QB has to read defenses, call audibles, do all that shit.
The WR, needs to get open and catch it.

How many times have you seen a team with really good WR's and a crappy QB do well?

you're acting like all the reciever has to do in run a route and catch the ball, the have to worry about double coverages, crossing the middle, they read defenses too and if they see something and change there route, if they don't change there route there getting smoked or the ball is getting picked off

Yes, get open.

But really, the QB is more importand and tougher than the reciever.
All the things your saying about what the reciever does, the QB has to also worry about that.

i just don't think you give recievers enough credit

i gotta agree with smasandian mostly.. although look at like the seahawks. They lost last year because of WR drops. Bottom line if they caught a few more passes that were perfect throws from hasselbeck they would have gone further.

i'm a little late on this but...sure the QB gets all the blame if they lose, just like they get all the credit when they win

Branch was the last Superbowl MVP... just tossing that out there

nice avy......if i rememer correctly the award coulda very well went to brady or brown

What sport is this about? What countires play it? Does it have a world cup like proper "Football" played with the "feet" or Rugby which has much less padding?

I do admit recievers are really important.
But I just think QB's are alot more.
I still think being a qb is alot harder than WR.

Just look at how many QB's from college turn into WR's when they hit the NFL.

well yea, the QBs are the field generals and focus points of the offense, all i was saying was Manning's wide recievers make his job easier and it got turned into this WR vs QB discussion
