Whatever makes you sleep easier, forum. At least people notice when the Steelers lose. No one notices when the Seahawks lose because no one cares. And never will.

But to the game. Bruce Arians (offensive coordinator) is as good as gone. Here are the third down plays of the game (got the part in italics from a Steelers message board, BTW):

3rd and 1, shotgun formation, Ben sacked.
3rd and 2, shotgun formation, Ben sacked.
3rd and 1, under center, Mendenhall short of the first by inches. go for it on fourth with a Ben sneak.
3rd and 10, shotgun formation, Ben sacked.
3rd and 5, shotgun formation, dropped pass (I believe it was Ward or Holmes on this one)
3rd and 19, shotgun formation, Ben sacked (if ever there was the time for the draw play, save the QB and punt the ball, that was it)

all of those are in the FIRST half!!!

3rd and 1, shotgun formation, draw play first down
3rd and 4, shotgun formation, incomplete pass
3rd and 7, shotgun formation, Ben sacked
3rd and 6, shotgun formation, incomplete pass
3rd and 8, shotgun formation, incomplete pass, penalty for holding accepted
3rd and 18, shotgun formation, dropped pass (Mendenhall)
3rd and inches, Ben under center, dive play with Mendenhall for 5 yards
3rd and 6, shotgun formation, 7 yard pass to Ward
3rd and 19, shotgun formation, 13 yard pass play. 4th down play, incomplete pass that ended the game and the season for the Steelers.

That is absolutely inexcusable. Just think, this team once had a string of 12 straight red zone possessions with a TD! 6-10, here we come. This team will not win another game. They have flat-out quit, if that wasn't obvious already.

People notice when a team that was supposed to be good loses 2 in a row against 2 of the worst teams in the league regardless of who it is.

Does anyone care if random other people care when their team losses?

Colts with 22 regular season victories in a row. ha-som

Stupid Brandon Marshall. He broke TO's single game reception record with 21 receptions. Got it on the Broncos final offensive play of the game. That was a cheap play they drew up for him, they knew they weren't going to get the first down. I still love him though.

Saints 13-0. Reggie with a good day. Sean Payton still continues to amaze me with his play-calling. Two passes when they should have been running the clock out, and then a fake FG...A FAKE FG!!!!

At least he did not choke with history on the line. I still feel bad for Brees who had a "cheap" easy 1 last throw to break Marinos record last year and had a guy wide open easiest throw ever and he put it in the ground.

so you think they will go undefeated and win it all? would like to hear your prediction on my thread. They will go undeated in the regular season, thats a no brainer. The only obstacle they have is The Chargers who match up very well against them and have a recent favorable history against them. The ESPN announcers said they are the one team they dont want to face right now.If they beat the chargers,I think they will go all the way and win it all.I dont think they will make it past the chargers though.Just a gut feeling.

Your hatred for the space bar... I just donlt get it. I also don't get how you argue with yourself in your own post.

Hats off to the Vikings, They were mean today.

How did he argue with himself? The only way the Colts play the Chargers is if they meet up in the playoffs. At this point, they are the Colts' biggest obstacle in their path to the Super Bowl.

I would hope they can get past the Chargers should they meet in the playoffs. But it's obvious that Chargers have the Colts' number.

I don't think they finish the regular season undefeated though. Their coach seems like he will rest their starters. Sean Payton has already stated that he will not rest his starters if they are in a position to go undefeated. I think that's what you have to do. But I don't think the Colts will. Expect to see Jim Sorgi.

I don't think resting your starters is a good idea not because they might 16-0, but because the team gets soft when they go on break for 2 weeks.

Rest your half injured players but don't rest perfectly healthy players. Take them out in the 4th or something liek that but the entire game, I never agree with.

Assumed from his post that the Colts played the Chargers, did not check the schedule.

I do not expect to see him because he is on IR.

I agree to never agreeing.

Good win by the Vikings, Antoine Winfield had a great first game back. It sucks that EJ Henderson is out for the year, though.

The Saints scare me less and less each week. First they almost lose to the Redskins, then they battle it out with the Falcons without Matt Ryan. Even beating the Patriots doesn't seem as good as it did because the Patriots look pretty bad lately.

Yeah, I do agree about the Saints. They have a few weaknesses. I don't think the run game isn't all that and if they passing game is not there, there goes the Saints.

And they can be run on. The Cowboys-Saints matchup isn't a complete one sided affair. The Cowboys have the talent to run on them.

Speaking of RB's, again, I understand Barber is a beast and all but he isn't doing it this year. He's slow and predictable. When healthy, Felix Jones is a much better back. He's surprisingly tough (in the sense that he can gain a few more yards after the first hit, not injury wise), much faster and nifty, and he seems to pick better lanes. I also think Choice is a better back.

Saints are winning close games every week, something the '08 Steelers did as well. Nothing beats being 4th quarter battle-tested.

That's true. I guess we could say the same thing about the Colts too.

I knew i could count on your regular childish banter instead of tackling the question.

I said that it was a no brainer that they will go undefeated in the regular season.Considering the last three teams they play are really bad teams,I think even if they rest their starters, they'll still go undefeated.I agree that The Saints are doing it the smart way by playing all their regulars.

Like I said,if The Colts can make it past The Chargers in the playoffs I think they will go undefeated and win the whole thing but like you,I dont think that will happen cause like you said,The Chargers have their number.

The Saints I think will go undefeated in the regular season but I think they will lose in the playoffs. How do you almost blow it against washington? thats pitiful and embarrasing. 😮 They also let The Falcons get back into it yesterday in the second half.Their defense has some holes that have been exposed.

I think if the Colts do lose a game, they lose at Jacksonville this Thursday night. If the Jags can get 35:00 of TOP, they'll have a shot at the end. They have a good kicker as well. I remember the Thursday night matchup last year, the game where Manning completed like his first 18 passes or something ridiculous like that. That can't happen again.

Here's a hint on how to rattle the Colts besides the obvious put-pressure-on-Manning strategy: TAKE THAT NO-RUN-BLOCKING, GOOFY-ASS, BALL-HAWKING, "TIGHT END" (I use that term loosely as the guy whiffs on more blocks than he connects) DALLAS CLARK OUT OF THE GAME!!!!

I don't mean injure him, but force him to stay back in the pocket, or put a DB on him. And for God's sake, would it kill anyone to jump one of his predictable routes once in a blue moon?? He is a down-and-distance Receiver. By that I mean depending on the down and distance, he usually runs the same 1 or 2 routes.

I like how everybody's strategy for Manning is to put pressure on him. Isn't that like every single other strategy for every other QB in the league?

As for Dallas Clark, he's a slot receiver now. People just call him a TE because they need to call every player on the field a position but he is clearly a slot receiver, and a damn good one too.

What's the percentage if somebody jumps a Clark route and Manning burns him for a TD?
