Yeah, it's called injuries.

I like how everybody's strategy for Manning is to put pressure on him. Isn't that like every single other strategy for every other QB in the league?

As for Dallas Clark, he's a slot receiver now. People just call him a TE because they need to call every player on the field a position but he is clearly a slot receiver, and a damn good one too.

What's the percentage if somebody jumps a Clark route and Manning burns him for a TD?

haha. Yeah, I would say that at least 32 teams would like to get pressure on the opposing team's QB.

Traditionally, Clark still gets LB coverage, and he's good enough to beat a dime DB. Now I haven't watched them as much ever since Lassie and Pepe Lepu took over Gonzalez's spot opposite Wayne, so I'm not sure if that's still the case. But from years past with Harrison in there, that's always been the case...and teams still can't figure it out that he only run blocks and pass protects 10% of the time.

True.

Last game was bad. I think he scored two TD's uncovered in the endzone. Could also be the case is that they're doubling Wayne all the time now.

Desean Jackson is too good.

Eagles vs. Vikings NFC Championship, so no matter what I have a team in the Superbowl. Although that seems unlikely because the Eagles could end up 12-4, so Vikings would play them in the 2nd round as they would probably be the top seed. I have a feeling we might see Vikes-Packers one more time also.

I would worry if I was a Vikings fan if the it was a Vikes-Packers.

Eh, I don't know. I would fully expect the Vikings to win that game, but I always expect the worst too, and IMO that would be the worst ending to the Vikings season, losing to the Packers after beating them twice and after everything with Favre.

The Vikings are the better team but it's one of those things where you play a division opponent three times and beat them twice already mentality.

Out of all the teams in the playoffs, I would rather my team face against a non-division opponent. Especially when the Packers are playing much better compared to the last two times they faced off.

Chris Henry of the Bengals died this morning from injuries resulting from falling out of the back of a pickup. What a shock....He was only 26.

RIP #15.

It's a shock, but I didn't know him and he wasn't a saint.

That's really a shame for his family, their team, and his fans. RIP Chris. I've been on Steeler message boards this morning and there's been nothing but grief and sympathy for the situation. It was good to see, considering the classless mockery that some people, especially Bengal fans in particular, made of Ben's motorcycle accident.

The Colts won't. They play Denver and Jacksonville.

And for God's sake, would it kill anyone to jump one of his predictable routes once in a blue moon?? He is a down-and-distance Receiver. By that I mean depending on the down and distance, he usually runs the same 1 or 2 routes.

Yes, I realize I'm quoting myself...but did you see that last night? It was unbelievable! A defensive back actually jumped one of Dallas Clark's routes! And it twarted a third-down conversion. Anthony Smith (former Steeler) actually cut off Clark's typical fall-down catch slant route in the fourth quarter and got a hand on the ball. It"s unreal what someone can do if they look at game film and take a risk.

(and then, of course, they give up the huge play to Wayne even with safety help).

I said if the Colts were going to lose one, the one against Jacksonville would be it. Well, even though the Jaguars had a chance, the Colts made plays at the end of the game and won, so there goes that prediction.

It's okay.

Everybody has made the prediction that the Colts would lose in the past 4-5 weeks.

As for the Superbowl, it all matters what team makes plays. The Colts make them on the offensive side and the defensive, and both of them cover for each other.

And Manning is total clutch and playing lights out football.

The Colts simplify the game of football offensively and it's really benefitting them this year. In an age where everyone's trying to outsmart the other team with the wildcat, the reverse pitch-and-catch, sideline pass (which I interpret as "we don't have confidence in our QB to throw downfield"😉, whatever, the Colts run 3 plays for 60% of their offense: Post, Out, Counter. And having an outstanding QB and solid right side of the OL literally makes it look easy.

And gasp! Receivers who actually make catches.

Yeah. Those receivers know that if they drop one single ball, they have to look back at Peyton Manning's scrunched-up face which looks like he's trying to take the biggest dump of the century.

And this just in about the Wildcat: Teams with elite QB's never run the Wildcat for more than 2 plays a game, and usually not at all. Running an offensive play with Peyton Manning on the sidelines and some goof running around like a headless chicken is almost a fireable offense.

But think about what that says about the QB on teams that often run the Wildcat...like Cleveland and Miami.

The Eagles are an exception, as they have the *Michael Vick clause in their season. If they didn't run the Wildcat, the Vick pickup would be literally worthless.

Oh the Manning look. I know that look.

So I didn't see the game but I've been reading that Manning had a great game?

308 yards passing with 4 TDs.

I know the stats.

I'm talking playing a great game.
