How can you make judgement on a game when they say they would rent the game instead of paying full price because it doesnt look interesting to her.

I think she is right. I'm not picking up the game unless its drastically different then the other Smash Bros games because I found the others ones really fun for a day but got kinda of boring later on.

Because she hasn't played it and why spend $50 on a game you may not like.

Well she may have played the previous two in that case you could in fact make a judgment on the game. Besides new characters, new stages, new items, and new game modes the basic game of Brawl will be the SSB64 game. Same controls and everything.

I for one didn't put down Melee for 5 years and can't wait for Brawl but she may have found 64 & Melee bored ad because Brawl will be a lot like those two she can come to that conclusion.

This game (Well, my friends, really) kicked my ass when I played it on 64, so I never picked up Melee.

But I'm starting to take a long hard look at this as a potential buy.

Only I won't play it with friends for fear of pwnage.

pwnage is good, it makes us better, unless the game happens to be mario strikers charged, where that theory gets blown out the window by cheap fluke shots that for some reason i can never pull off 😬

Hmm, permit me if this sounds like a stupid question, but does Link have an assist trophy? I'm not sure if every character will have one.

Assist trophies are like pokeballs but instead of pokemon they have characters from games. And since Link is already a playable character he wouldn't be an assist trophy.

Do you mean "Does Link have a character from his universe that serves as an assist trophy" or "Can Link be summoned as an assist trophy"?

Well even if he meant from the Zelda universe, no, there are no revealed assist trophies from the Zelda universe.
