How can you make judgement on a game when they say they would rent the game instead of paying full price because it doesnt look interesting to her.

Are you telling me you havnt done the same before?

I think she is right. I'm not picking up the game unless its drastically different then the other Smash Bros games because I found the others ones really fun for a day but got kinda of boring later on.

Meh. Fair enough.

This game (Well, my friends, really) kicked my ass when I played it on 64, so I never picked up Melee.

But I'm starting to take a long hard look at this as a potential buy.

Only I won't play it with friends for fear of pwnage.

IMO, which game one buys or plays should be based on how fun the game is, not how much someone pwns at it. 😛

There probably will be soon though.

Gannondorf is likely to be a playable contender.

Yeah, unless they give him a new moveset so he's not a clone anymore.

Do you mean "Does Link have a character from his universe that serves as an assist trophy"

Yeah I meant if Link has an assist trophy from his universe, but I guess nothing has been revealed. Man I sure hope it's Midna.

Midna as a playable character would be a much better choice.

Better choice than who?

a better choice than midna as an AT 😬

Oh.
In that case, I agree.

Yes he would need his own moveset.

happy new year everyone
only 6 days left till our precious updates come back 😄

The first update of 2008 should be a playable character.

Um, yay?

So I guess now we're gonna have a countdown 'till the next update? 😛

I doubt it... though I agree that it should be.

Yay, and on the first port of call, I too hope a playable contender shall be announced, if not that then at least a new stage.

I don't think another character will be announced. I'm thinking he's just going to keep everyone else a secret.

Well there are plenty of characters that have not been announced just yet.

The rest of the updates will likely be the same filler we've been looking at for the past two months; vdeos, game modes, and the like.

they better not give away too many game modes...i wanna be kept suprised on that part 😬
and yea, i think we can expect some more characters...they promised us at least 50 or so..

I'd like the rest of the characters to be left secret.

I hope we get no more Character Updates.

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

I second that strongly. Not only was she a great character (TP had some good new faces overall IMO), but heck, she actually has a little bit of skill to back her up compared to Link's other sidekicks. And anyone who's played Twilight Princess would agree that she has a great potential Final Smash.

But as for character updates, I don't think it would hurt to unveil a few more veteran Smash characters. It'd be stupid to give too many of them the axe. Of course my main since 64, Link, was announced two seconds into the first trailer (and I hear he's been improved alot from Melee in things like speed and his projectiles), but he wasn't my only main.
