Tekken 6

ugh.. those strat guides are only good for the artwork.. they offer no better information than you can find off of the internet.. did you not just witness Lili 100% rage combo?

also.. you do realise that its NOT infinite, yes?.... why you say?.. well.. because the other character.. died... ✅

we arent talking infinites here.. merely 100%'s, which is most certainly bad enough.. hell even 80% is ridiculous

infinites are shit like Sengoku Basara X, or MVC2 Psylocke.. where you can keep doing them until the time runs out, or the opponent just happens to croak..

like so :

another goodie

100% are just as bad as infinities. T6 has a lot of'im. Hopefully, there will be patches.

This is a piece, word for word from tekken 6 strategy guide.

pg. 21 under "Juggle Combos", sentence 4.

"As hits accumulate in a juggle combo your opponent will drift further away on each hit, making infinite juggles impossible. The damage each move does is also scaled lower and lower as a juggle combo goes on."

so, yea...ReallY.

Most strat guides are completely useless. I could get much better info from intermediate level players who have been playing the game for a month.

Also, yes, damage is scaled down in a juggle combo, but afaik, it does not continue to scale down after like the 3rd or 4th hit.

useless. meaning everything, all the commands are wrong?

hm. funny because everything in the guide seems to work to me.

i use it as a reference guide anyway. i have many other sources like tekken ziabatsu, just practicing on my own with the command list, playing against the computer in practice in different types of ways and modes, playing arcade mode on ultra hard, or practicing and playing against friends at their place or mine, having critique sessions on skills, going to tourneys locally and statewide, or on my own watching ghost battles or others playing online just see how others play a character i play with or want to play with. theres youtube. tekken crush. news. etc.

but to get back, t6 juggles aren't as devestating as people make 'em out to be. and i love, love, the new bound system.

I cannot fathom why anyone would want to consult a guide for the commands, when they are in the game itself.

All those sources you mentioned can be much better sources than the guide.
In fact, go into training mode, and keep launch someone, then try to land as many jabs as you can while they are in the air. Tell me if the damage continues to scale down with every single hit, instead of damage scaling down with the first two-three hits.

I don't think they're extremely devastating, not unless they're properly used. 100% combos exist, but those need special circumstances and good skill. More often than not, matches do not feature those 100% combos.
Bound extends juggles though. Juggles in T5 could get pretty long as it were. Granted, they somewhat made up for the increased juggles by increasing the standard HP.

Strategy guides were all right to have/buy a couple gaming gens ago or so, but now they're just obsolete with everything else we've got. Surprised one would even mention a guide book to back themselves up in today's generation. awesome

XD

also.. practicing against the computer is no good.. no matter what difficulty they're at.. they dont even begin to prepare you for the mindgames that a human opponent is capable of (I also want to add, that you should fight as many different people as possible.. that'll help your 'game' tremendously)

and on a side note (semi-related), I cant wait to see what kind of retarded juggle combo the SF'ers are gonna have XD

and.. all this talk of juggles makes me miss soul calibur air control 🙁

^ Indeed. Not to mention, you can spam moves that always f*** over the AI. Try doing that against a human player...

~ I was never good at Soul Calibur when it came to juggles. >__>

So even though I couldn't do shit when it came to air-juggling, I'll agree, the air control bit was delicious.

these are just a couple games i had at this university of massachusetts tekken 6 tournament on feb. 4, 2011, thought i'd share them with y'all. i'm bruce irvin.

i actually made it to the finals but i was defeated by this asian kid's alisa.

on the first link, azazel's chamber stage, my best friend manuel's at 2:29 letting me know that i'm one game away from the finals and that's my voice at 2:33 saying "Rawk77" after the guy asked me what my gamer tag is..

tell me what you guys think about my bruce. imo, i need to do way better.
