You mean they'd be in a fight in mere seconds or Palpatine would lose in mere seconds? I agree with the former, but definately not the latter.

Yoda or Palpatine wins.

He would be attacking Palpatine before he could pull anything of with the force.

? ?

I'm sorry, I must be confused. Palpatine's not restricted to just his Force-powers. He has his own considerable lightsaber abilities - which he'd be able to put into play against Yoda.

We've had this talk before. You've said on another thread in the Episode III forum that "Yoda outclasses Palpatine in all aspects". You must truly believe it, too. See, when I saw RotS, I saw Yoda and Palpatine fight on the Chancellor's podium - Palpatine meeting Yoda attack for attack - with no single environmental advantage. I also saw Yoda and Palpatine exchange their positions on the podium quite often.

There's no way in hell that this would be a quick fight. I'm not saying that Palpatine would win, but I am saying that there's a strong possibility that he can - and Yoda's sure as hell not going to outclass or own him.

WOW.

No advatage? Sidious has a hieght advantage. He dident have gravity as his other enemy. I also saw Sidious without a lightsaber for most of the fight, could that somehow be connected to the novel!? It states yoda disarmed him.

Yoda is good enough to be feared by Palpatine.

"Before Palpatine could do any force attacks Yoda would be in close and most likely force a melee battle."

WOW.

During their lightsaber fight, Palpatine had no advantage. Yoda attempted to take the "middle ground", but Palpatine forced him back.

Sidious has a hieght advantage.

You talkin' about his natural height superiority or the pod ordeal?

He dident have gravity as his other enemy.

On the contrary. Palpatine had to deal against gravity when he first began the pod-match. He lifted three pods, and flung them up into the air - in direct defiance of gravity - and then flung them down at Yoda.

I also saw Sidious without a lightsaber for most of the fight, could that somehow be connected to the novel!? It states yoda disarmed him.

No, I saw Sidious without a saber for half of the fight. And, when he had it, he met Yoda blow-for-blow. Don't gimme that crap about Yoda's outclassing Sidious. RotS disproved that. Big time.

Secondly, Palpatine disarmed Yoda, as well.

Yoda is good enough to be feared by Palpatine.

Palpatine a direct confrontation with Yoda. Why? Because Yoda has an exceptional chance of beating him in a fight. 50/50.

"Before Palpatine could do any force attacks Yoda would be in close and most likely force a melee battle."

Ah, okay.
