Just hope IGN, Gamespot and Gametrailers get reviews up soon, gotta make a decision by this weekend about whether or not to get this game...

So I have a few questions...

how buggy is the game? Should I buy it now or should I wait to due glitches, lag etc.?

Are the servers populated enough to fill the public quests? I've heard that players have not had enough people to be able to complete them... and I'm sure that would only get worse as time goes on.

and would you say the game is pvp (or RVR) based? I'm a PVE fan myself, for the most part anyway... so how big a role does that play in the game?

thanks

im running it on a comp i bought two years ago, i have 4 gb ram

a 7600 nvidia geforce le card. not that good at all but it runs the game pretty smooth and well

And yes it is populated enough for PQ's
at least me server is... if you want to have an easy time doing PQ's dont roll a dark elf, they have no tank so its not as easy as a race with tanks

the game is 80% rvr (pvp) i'd say

if you are a pure pve fan, stick to wow

There are always bugs in the beginning of a game, they should be fixed within a few months of playing i'd say

I just scored a 20dps, +23 strength, +8 toughness axe. My old one was 14dps, no stat boosts ermm Killing stuff is so much easier touched

I finally found a flight path, yay. And I found the mailbox which has Auctions so Im assuming theres an auction house somewhere, dunno where though.

i believe the auction house is in the main capital city no?

and i love finding random blue items off random mobs

i found a +4 str boots off the 3 monster i killed lol, i was planning on being a chosen and i am one, but i find sorcerror to be a bit more interesting.. and the damage they do is amazing

So how is the rewarding of exploration working out? Like they would have sudden small quests or so popping out everywhere, with just giving you rewards or so. Thatw as at leats something they talked about in their early podcasts.

Myself I have always been a PvPer and explorer in WoW. If the place exist in WoW, I've been there. So from what I am hearing WAR sounds more and more up my alley then WoW (don't get me wrong, I love doing quests and reading up on all the lore, but PvP was alway smroe fun then PvE).

The lore is warhammer is also amazing, i think you just have to find a random npc that gives and exploration quest.. he just sends you to a certain place and you can explore all you want

Any good sites other then the Wiki for reading up on the lore?

Also, this was the Podcast I was refering to. Not quite the same thing as you described:

YouTube video

yes, warhammeronline.com ?

The Tome is awesome, every 10mins or so Im unlocking a new achievement or title, they're so random 馃槀

Hah, theres one where you have to kill a thousand? or 100? people as a chicken? hahah

I thought that the fact that they would be turned into chickens would keep the majority of the high end players (level 20) away from the low end players (1-10)

yup

How do you turn people into chickens?

You doesn't turn them into chickens from what I gather you are turned into a chicken if you as a level 20 run into a level 10 area.

Oh badass! But how are you supposed to kill people as a chicken?

Thats the whole point, its hard

you only do 1 dmg and have like 1 hp

what type of comp are you running btw? the specs

This is fun (have just began playing for real today)

Dark elf Sorcerer for the win 馃槃

and for specs...

2,4 intel pentium Dual Core
2 GB DDR 2 Ram
256 mb Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS

and it runs like a dream 馃槃

Just curious, the European players here, what servers are you all on? I'll start playing on Karak Hirn this tuesday.

I'm on Yvresse I think it's called.
