The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

So I'm watching the Bourne Supremacy and I've finally spotted a plot hole or PIS/CIS. Before this, I consider this trilogy to be almost flawless, on the level of LOTR in its own way. Anyways, why doesn't Bourne kill the FSB agent who comes hunting him in Tangier? It would have saved Marie's life and the trouble he was going to have throughout the movie. He was obviously the superior of the two but he chose to run instead of eliminating the threat.

1. He is in Goa, India, not Tangiers, Morocco.

2. Bourne had no reason to attack the FSB agent and attract unnecessary attention (especially because Marie and him went to India to hide).

Escaping unnoticed would have been the better option.

And the series has flaws that are just ignored by how awesome the films are.

For example, in Ultimatum,

Spoiler:
how is Bourne able to break into CIA Deep Cover and walk into Vosen's office that easily?

Yea sorry I meant India Tangier is next movie. And what do you mean unnecessary attention? He got it when the guy came and even moreso when he tried to escape. There was nothing "unnoticed" about it. On the other hand, if he killed the FSB agent, the Russian Oil Tycoon and William Stryker would be at a loss as to how to move on. Bourne continuously running and running publicly gave those guys something to do, which was to hunt him down.

Also, him breaking into the office wasn't that unbelievable. When he came to New York, Landy tipped him off to the Deep Cover HQ. The rest was ingenuity due to his years of training.

Subterfuge was the best option for Bourne at that moment. If he decided to engage in a public fire/fistfight, that would have attracted unnecessary attention to his presence. He was in India to hide, not find methods of revealing him to the police and media (which would have surely alerted the tycoon and Stryker).

Secondly, Bourne may not have known how much backup this guy had in the area. Deciding to go for the kill might have placed him in greater danger.

Finally, Bourne is in a process of seeking redemption for the individuals he callously murdered. He doesn't want to return to his Treadstone ways and just kill this man.

The biggest WTF moment out of Bourne is how he was able to get in to Vosen's office. No one at the CIA's security desk knew his face, or the cameras? He didn't bump in to any agent who may have memorized the face of the agency's most wanted man?

Lucky f*ck.

If this doesn't induce an erection, you should question your sexual orientation immediately.

I like the changes made to Altair--makes him look more appropriate.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.

See the "rest was ingenuity thanks to his years of training" is basically applied for everything he does.

How does Bourne manage to escape Moscow when the majority of FSB and police are actively searching for him and likely are blocking all modes of transportation leaving the city?

Answer: Because he is Jason Bourne.

How does Bourne break into CIA Deep Cover, which would probably have guards, high-tech cameras, and other security safeguards all over the place, and walk into Vosen's office when there are cubicles next door with people who would likely see an unknown individual strolling into the CIA Deputy Director's office?

Answer: Because he is Jason Bourne.

How is Bourne able to do everything in the films?

Answer: Because he is Jason Bourne.

That being said, that's not a criticism. After all, he is Jason Bourne and he is supposed to be able to do the impossible.

EDIT: Ah, slightly beaten to it, I see. Haha...see I'm not alone in recognizing how ridiculous that scene was (thought it was infinitely bad@ss)

Noah Vosen was a badass. That is all.

Makes so much more sense than the movies:

...I've always wondered why once they realized Columbus's mishap, they continued to call Native Americans "Indians," when clearly they weren't in India and these people weren't actual Indians.

For the same reason Vikings called it "Greenland". Trolling predates the internet.

Harry Potter should have ended the minute Rowling decided to write those books.

I love Harry Potter.

wtf beefy?

You see Deathly Hallows part two yet? Great film, saw it 4 times.

I like the books, not the movies. But I hear the last one is actually good. I've no plans for seeing it though. I just dislike the aesthetics and tone and stuff.

Christopher Nolan directed it. 😐

Need I say more?

The last movie is good solely for Alan Rickman. I enjoyed the books immensely, but the movies suck. Average movies, just in and of themselves. Very poor adaptions.

Except for Alan Rickman. What little cred. those films have in my mind is due to him first, and Helena Bonham Carter second. Voldemort sucked balls.

I personally thought Sirius Black ruled.

Oldman was definitely not who I had in mind for Sirius. Rickman was great, Roth would have been better.

Fiennes was a pretty decent Voldemort, and had some great moments in the last two films.

I thought the last film was better than the book for the most part.

The last movie sucked. Dunno what you fellows are on about.
