I'm going to side with Digimon as well, Seasons 1-3 have pretty high priority on my list of things about which to be nostalgic.

TBH, the originals were the best, but I thought up to Hoenn (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald), the Pokemon were still all right.

But the next two generations suck. Apparently there is a three-headed dragon Pokemon out, like wtf?

Also, I rather liked it when the legendaries were actually legendary. Now there are like 50 legendaries, and apparently a Pokemon God too wtf!?

I only played the first two generations. After the 300 mark I just couldn't care anymore. I dug up my old GameBoy Color a little while ago and easily played through all of Gold again. My Silver's internal battery died a long time ago--that still makes me sad.

Pokemon Emerald and FireRed (the remake of the original) were the last Pokemon games I played. I'd say they are my favorites as well.

Apparently the legendary Red returns in SoulSilver and HeartGold (the Johto remakes) and he has a Lv. 88 Pickachu, Lv. 84 Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur, Lv. 82 Snorlax, Lv. 80 Lapras

That's probably the highest level in-game opponent in all the games I imagine!

He had something similar to that in Gold and Silver as well and that is still the most epic part of all the games.

Yeah they made him several levels harder for SoulSilver/HeartGold.

Honestly, they should make him in the nineties.

By the time you got to him in Gold/Silver he wasn't uber hard. About as difficult as the first time going through many of the later gyms.
