Well, by that logic no military operation should ever have credit given to the politician who orders it.
The point is that Obama was for awhile seen as this panzy anti-war hippie who was willing to let foreign nations walk all over us. During his campaign the opposition tried to use his goal to get troops out of the middle east as proof that he was going to "let the terrorists win".
Killing the shit out of the number one most wanted terrorist in the world and simultaneously telling the terrorist harboring country he was hiding in (Pakistan) to go **** itself kind of quells those statements.
That being said, I also am suspicious of the sheer convenience of the timing in which Osama's death occurred. Obama's under fire for not proving his US citizenship, Obama's under fire for not making any progress in the War on Terror. BAM, his birth certificate's public for everyone to see, BAM, Osama Bin Laden himself is dead. All within like, the same two week period. Fishy.
I think Bin Laden had been dead for awhile before his supposed assassination in Pakistan last year, frankly.
I think U.S. intelligence had determined bin Laden's location some time before the raid, but the Obama admin. held off until the opportune moment when they could make the most out of it. They're good at PR like that. Same with the birth certificate; wait until your opponents and critics are getting the most riled up about your alleged illegitimacy as they've ever been, and throw the proof they've been claiming you don't have in their faces for all the public to witness. Do the two only weeks apart and you get a massive round of applause from two sides--the Dem. supporters who love your trouncing of right-wing conspiracy claims, and Rep. supporters for ordering (and posing for a dramatic, tension-filled photo) the execution of America's most hated man, sheltered in a anti-U.S., terrorist filled country. The Reps won't bash the first lest they call their own intelligence in to question (many still did), and the Dems won't bash the second because to oppose the death of bin Laden will paint you as unAmerican.
It was a masterstroke of propaganda.

the bin laden thing never seemed like an obama accomplishment to me though. credit to the troops there. Also, why do we keep giving money to a pakistan government that so obviously gives that same money to the taliban? we are funding both sides of our war for political and economic gain...
Pakistan government giving money to Talibans??
You do realise Pakistan gets more terrorist attacks from the Taliban than anyone else in the world right??

Iv personally never believed it either. Im sure they would have loved to show off his dead body like they did with Sadam's sons. He probably died a long time ago, at a more inconvenient time.
And if it is true theres no excuse for an asassination mission, and not capturing him and taking him to an international court for a proper trial.
Call me spoiled, but after 5 years of paying $50 for a YEAR long Xbox LIVE subscription, paying 15 dollars a month, or 50 dollars for three months to play TOR seems a little steep.
Spending 80 dollars will get you 6 months? Really? So to play a video game for a year it'll cost you roughly 160 dollars?
I mean, that being said, there's more to it than that. 15 dollars a month will get you pretty much all the content in the game, and it's really not that much money at all... but still, the principle is a little annoying. That price isn't even counting the 60 dollars you pay just for the game disk... which only grants you 30 days of playing time.
