I'm about 5 issues into Legacy. I also read all of Obsession and Grievous yesterday. The comics are the best part of EU.
The parallels between Legacy and the OT (which, of course, are intentional) really irk me, from the "Star Destroyer" shaped... Star Destroyers to the "Rebel Alliance verses the evil Empire with the Jedi scattered and betrayed by the Galaxy they were sworn to protect" and the mysterious Princess blahdyblah of the Rebel Alliance who gets saved by the wayward good guys, transported home, and acts as the driving cause for the protagonist to get involved with the Rebel's plight.
It's all very stuff I've seen a thousand times, and Cade is a slightly superior version of Captain Mal.
That being said I find myself enjoying the comic quite a bit. Everything from its art to the little sub-plots possesses a bit of charm, even if the storyline is all just one big cliche filled with other cliches.
Try Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison next. Great stuff.

I wonder how you will feel about Cade 30-40 comics in...

I hear the Kotor comics are pretty good.
They are. It's a nice change of pace as they aren't about some galactic threat, but just about a Padawan trying to survive.

Originally posted by Lord LucienDidn't say Legacy was the best comic, though. 😉
It's pretty sad when the best part of the EU is a carbon-copy of the original.

He was always the least good character, though! Zoe, Katie and Walsh were all more human, and River was more entertaining. Hell, even Simon was more dynamic than Mal, who never--never--managed to do anything but the classic protagonist/goodguy decision. For someone obviously intended as pragmatic!good, Mal sure went out of his way to be objectively good an awful lot.
I MUCH prefer the Tams. (Any episode where Simon takes his shirt off is worth a look. And River is, well, River.)
Edit: that said, Fillion was probably one of the better actors on the show.

Downloaded KOTOR2 off of Steam today- this'll be my first playthrough.I'm about 45 minutes into Paragus. Does it... get better?
Peragus was a nightmare and the principal reason as to why it took me ages to finally complete the game. That and as I review the plot from the Let's Play archive, it dawns on me how very bad the writing is. Avellone definitely knows his way around a Thesaurus, but loquacious dialogue does not good writing make*.
*which probably explains why my creative writing also sucks.
