I read on another board that it's confirmed Maul is
Spoiler:this season. And this current arc is 4 episodes long.
in more than 4 episodes
So unless he makes a cameo in one of the upcoming episodes (doubtful because that's not really the style of storytelling CW uses)
Spoiler:if that rumor is true.
he'll survive
But keeping Sam Witwer on doesn't mean much. He could be voicing anyone.

Well according to the novel he actually gave Dooku a hard time with both Sabers. But of course Padawan Anakin was always going to lose.
Anyway why else did Obi-Wan throw him the lightsaber if not to give him an advantage?
And why else did Obi-Wan make sure he grabbed Adi's Saber while fleeing Maul and Opress?
If two-sa8ers were really 8etter then Anakin would have used two sa8ers all the time. Hell, all Jedi would use two sa8ers. The only advantage dual sa8ers gives is being able to fight 2 people at the same time easier, a second 8lade agianst a lightwhip and if the opponent isn't as well trained against dual sa8ers 8ecause everyone uses a single. You know why? 8ecause a single lightsa8er is much more versatile, easier to use and 8etter in most situ8ions.
Who knows why he threw it at him. It's not as if it gave him an actual advantage. Dooku cut it in half in 7 seconds. haermm
Anakin did much 8etter with a single lightsa8er.
8ecause having two sa8ers allows you to more easily 8lock seperate attackers.

Probably not the Jedi way to carry more than one weapon. Which would explain why it's usually Sith/Dark Jedi using more than 1 Blade.
Besides it would only be of use to those Jedi who are well versed in using 2 Sabers.

Yes this much at least has been made clear.
But even when Obi-Wan was jumping around attempting to fight the 2 Zabraks one at a time, the 2 Sabers certainly didn't seem to be a disadvantage against a single opponent in any way.

Jedi are more practical than you think. They may preach peace but they'll still slice a man's arm off if he attacks them. If a type of weapon was actually superior, they'd use it.
If 2 sa8ers were superior, then all Jedi would be trained in their use. Or at least, more of them.

Yet o8viously 2 sa8ers would result in numerous disadvantages, which 8lax has already explained to you. It's exactly the same with dou8le-8laded lightsa8ers. Kas'im explicitly explains that on the whole, exotic styles of lightsa8er are inferior to a single one. They have their niches, 8ut that doesn't make them as via8le as the standard single lighta8er.

None of these disadvantages have been shown in SW. It's only been shown as advantageous which is what Q99 was observing.
Also I already explained back to Blax that I'm not buying it:

Stick fighting shows 2 sticks are much more advantageous than 1. And the weight of lightsabers are more comparable to sticks than to actual swords.

And yet Kas'im beat Bane in Sabers only when he switched to using 2. Before that he was losing I believe.

Maul, Opress, Ventress, Galen (TFUII), Sidious. Plagueis I believe used 2 as well.
That means from the OT/PT period the only ones who wouldn't use 2 were Dooku and Vader. The 2 Ex Jedi. And Dooku's just a pure fencer so using 2 is just against his personal principles. His decision was nothing to do with combat effectiveness.(LOE)
Also Grievous uses as many as he can.

You mean other than when Dooku was able to destroy Anakin's second lightsa8er in 7 seconds? And I've told you, Kas'im goes on at length a8out this. Exotic weaponry is impractical to use.
Lol @ stick-fighting 8eing compared to lightsa8ers. Those sticks are much less unwieldly and dangerous. A Jedi trying that would cut their own arms off. It's simply impossible to fight like that with a lightsa8er.

That was specifically 8ecause 8ane had no experience fighting against Dual-Lightsa8ers. Kas'im had purposefully taught his students nothing a8out using or fighting dual-lightsa8ers (with his story 8eing that their impracticality made it pointless to use them). It was not 8ecause Dual style was Teh U8erest!

Maul used a single when fighting against Qui-Gon actually. He only used a Dou8le-sided when he was fighting 8oth Jedi, o8viously for reasons we've discussed. He has also 8een shown to prefer a single in the current series. And Sidious only used 2 in the upcoming duel. He also clearly preferred a single lightsa8er.
8esides which, there are many more Sith who prefer to use a single lightsa8er.
Sidious
Caedus
Vader
Dooku
Jadus
8aras
Zhorrid
Thanaton
Numerous other TOR-era Sith Lords
Viti8 (he uses one in the JK fight)
Uliq Qel'Droma
Haazen
Revan
Malak
Nihilus
Sion
Traya
Scourge
8ane
Kopecz
Ruin
Kaan
Kaox Krul
I think you get my point. Dual-sa8ers is seen as aggressive, hence why a few Sith use it.
I don't man. I just agree with Q99's observation that it hasn't been shown to be disadvantageous in SW as of yet. But there are many other examples of it helping.
As for not many Jedi/Sith using it, and it being much more dangerous than Stick fighting, well clearly the user has to be well trained in the form.
Oh and Classic Maul would usually use both sides of his Saber staff. Current Maul might be more powerful but his skill level is still slowly increasing after being out of the game for 10+years. But I'm guessing he will switch back to the Saber Staff eventually.

Angel is better than Dexter in every conceivable way: taller, stronger, faster, smarter, nicer, meaner, a better killer, etc.
And I have it on good authority that David Boreanaz is more attractive than Michael C. Hall. But, to be fair, we shall ask my friend and yours, the great Zampano, to judge.
Zamp, what say you?
