So no comic book readers here? With The New 52 (DC) and Marvel NOW! (Marvel) reboots it's a really cool time to get into them.

No other conference comes close.

I think Florida/Alabama will be favored next year.

Well, I think Louisville can say something against that now. What a shocker. This is what I mean though - if Notre Dame suffered one loss, it would have been Florida vs Alabama in the NC simply because SEC gets a lot of love. Now just got to wait for the NC Title Game to see if Notre Dame can pull off the Cinderella-story upset.

Pretty sure you can't really use that, seeing as how Florida didn't show up yesterday, and WOULD have shown up for the National Championship. What they did last night was embarrassing. At the same time, I really wanted Urban Meyer's Ohio Stated in the BCS title game. Stupid sanctions.

The bad-guy from Inglourious Basterds is officially my favorite movie villain.

What about DARKHEEEEEEEEART!?

Noone can top him. He's like satan, only ginger.

I thought I'd try for Kill Bill next, actually.

But for the record, the first third of the movie was shit. None of us could take Brad Pitt seriously and I personally only really liked the movie-owner plot and the Nazi detective. The Americans all got on my nerves.

Defininatly one of the greatest modern bands. 🙂

ReAnimation is probably their best album.

Rush is great as well, but imo Kansas have the perfect blend of progressive rock with a familiar rock sound, and they are just plain awesome! The Wall, Song for America, Icarus II >>>>>

Interesting fact about Kill Bill - Quentin actually wanted to make just a single film, but as he was writing the script he realised that the story was too big to fit into one movie, and so hence volume 1, 2 and 3. So if you wanted you could actually wait for volume 3 to be released and watch them all at once, though it would make for really long movie session, but it's how he originally wanted it.

Pulp Fiction is his best by far btw, you leaving the best till last.

lol

I enjoy their music but they is far form one of the best modern rock bands. Try Muse, or The Mars Volta.

I don't care if he's a big name, Pitt did not deserve top billing for that film. Most of the time it cut away to the Americans I'd start willing it to hurry up and get back to the better part.

The pacing in Kill Bill is atrocious; definitely should have been re-edited. Still fun movies though.

Are you and Zamp nuts? Inglorious Basterds was brilliant, as was Pitt. He may not have deserved top billing before the fact, but he performed brilliantly. It was a phenomenal movie. However, Pulp Fiction was still the best. And I'd argue Reservoir Dogs was up there as well. The "tipping" conversation was the greatest Tarantino invention ever.

Pitt performed alright. It wasn't some super, amazing performance, but it was still good. But any scene with the Basterds I felt slowed down the picture. Not because their part wasn't necessary or it was bad, but they were horribly overshadowed by anything with Waltz, Melanie Laurent, August Diehl etc. I felt the rest of the film was so much film that it literally detracted from itself at other points. That's honestly a sign of a well made movie. Django went further than that and made the entire movie equally fun.

Pitt played his role well; I rather enjoyed the Basterds' scenes.

This was the best scene in the movie, in my opinon:

Bar Scene

F*ck yeah.

That scene is the embodiment of the "Well that escalated quickly" meme.

Agreed with everyhting said here. imo though Reservoir Dogs was not on the same level as Pulp Fiction or Inglourious Basterds, it was really good and that opening was awesome but it felt a lot smaller in scale as far as the stuff that happens.

Have you people seen Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrells? Really awesome film, its kinda like the English Pulp Fiction.

Hmm imo the bits with Melanie Laurent were the weakest parts of the film, at least until the end when it climaxes with the other plots.
