Haretsu would toll the bells of contest, the price of war, and one he did not mind paying. Haretsu’s brain initiated the visage dissection of the man, taking note of all his features as he picked them separately, and memorized them. The man loomed from the distance, ostensibly hefty when equated to Haretsu’s own physique. Haretsu cared less for the man’s size, but knew what more too employ against him. The man was black, which was heretical to be found in Iwagakure, but Haretsu hated discrimination, and wouldn’t not adhere to its ways. Speaking of hair, the man had dreadlocks descending down to his cuddle his shoulders tenderly.The rest of the man was concealed, a swindled appearance sticking down his bulk. This was not too much for Haretsu to handle, his own gradually acute to his satchel as he engrossed a nasty surprise for the Negro soldier. Haretsu’s arms were bent at a 90° angle as he heaved them through interior garments. Like all ANBU, being obligatory for those serving directly under their leader, the man brandished a Katana, a trademark weapon, which insecurely from his belt. It was as if his sword was cavalier. Through first impression alone, Haretsu managed to abstract everything about the man.
Haretsu admired the poise the man ejected as they got into their stance, but soon, he would discover himself enclosed by abrasions and contusions, courtesy of the vehement river gushing briskly underneath the two. Since the man was assertive that he would castrate Haretsu’s donkey, he was sure they would not object to harassing him first. There was a copious sum of gear for them to use, both deposited by their peers and Mother Nature herself. Looking askance, it was quite ironic given his silence. You could articulate he arranged his sketch for warfare. As a zephyr rolled up from the east, Haretsu’s fist did the same.

I'm liking it! If there was one problem with the original four, it was that all of the conflict was tongue in cheek/artificial. Like a bad fanfic, the cast didn't actually have anything to disagree about. This new group has goals about the universe, some of which may clash. The original group was way more reactionary. (And the trolls were too many to care about, except for Nepetaquest.)
I'm not sure I'm content with Caliborn yet--we'll see if he gets to make a decision beyond being the big-bad. It seems like he's yet to make any decisions on his own volition, imo.
Me too. I'm liking that things seem to be slowly moving into the worst possible situation with all the kids isolated and dealing with their own problems. It'll make it that much better for the Original kids and the trolls to come in and save the day.
I like that the big bad isn't either a deranged monster (Jack) or a tragic antihero (Vriska) but is rather just a complete and utter irredeemable ******* of a kid whose motivation seems to be flip his sister the bird. Also he still has his Denizen Decision to make. Though since his whole thing seems to the inevitability of his victory and rise I doubt he'll stray much from just hulking out and blowing up universes.
Also what the hay, you don't like the trolls?! The trolls are the best part!
Now that the troll arc is over, yes I like the trolls. But at the time, I just wanted MOAR ROSE and couldn't gaf about Sollux et al. So I picked a couple favorites and waited for the rest of them to go away. Honestly, I loved the Ancestors and Pre-scratch trolls, since by that point I understood that the original 4 weren't going to be protagonists anymore.
The problem was that the Kid/Troll switchover was so abrupt that I felt like it was a minor interlude, instead of the bulk of the story.
