A compromise of sorts between the summer 2015 and 2016 deadlines they were arguing over.

They were/are doing casting calls in the UK for a 'street smart 16ish girl" and a "smart, studious 20something boy" recently.

So I started skimming some Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc episodes cuz I heard they implied Velma was a lesbian and WOW Fred is ****ing nuts in that cartoon. Not even funny nuts, awkward side-long glances nuts. He is actually insane.

Chidi Ahanotu played with me in Tampa Bay, and I used to watch Warren Sapp do some similar things to Chidi Ahanotu," Johnson told KGMZ-FM in San Francisco, via ProFootballTalk. "Now I'm saying this on the record, and it's going to go all over the country after I say this. I used to watch him try to bully Chidi Ahanotu, OK? Because he felt he was more superior than Chidi. So one day, you know what Ahanotu did? He got up and he told him, 'Get your you-know-what in the middle of the floor right now. I'm tired of it."
"At that point, guess what Sapp did? He sat down. And then everybody else in the locker room, me, the Derrick Brookses, the Brian Kellys, we all said, 'Good for you, man,'" Johnson said. "[Sapp] didn't want no part of it. Until you stand up for yourself and don't allow these chumps to do that sort of stuff to you, they'll keep doing it. That's the way bullies are."

-Keyshawn Johnson.
This is how you handle bullies, not going off crying into a corner.

I'm sorry, I realize you are all about manly men and confrontations in showerrooms, but can you tell me where anyone advocated 'crying in a corner' as opposed to calling a bully out? Or is this another vague attack at 'pussy America'?

In retrospect, a lot of stuff we watched as kids was over the top, strange, or crazy. Ren and Stimpy, ftw.

Didney Wurl get it right? Also, the Disciple was atrocious. Replace him with whiny Carth or chaotic neutral Aton any day.

Yeah, but even the other characters acknowledge he's bonkers. He just lifted Daphne's whole bed out of her house with a crane and transported her to a beach while shes asleep to have a romantic picnic. Also he's obsessed with traps. "Boobytrapped everyone's house in secret" obsessed. And he talks to his teddy bear 'trapsy' and the bear talks back to him.

Mystery Inc's from 2012 btw.

Holy shit, now I need to see this. This sounds awesome.

Daphne: I've been tagged with a tracking device?!!

Fred: Man, I wish I'd thought of that...

O_o

This episode brought to you by chloroform.

Telling on a player or going public with it akin to "crying in the corner". I realize you're totally opposed to the idea of people fighting their own battles (ESPECIALLY in such a manly game like football), but sometimes it's really hard to argue against it. We can debate the merits of fighting adolescent bullying all day long, but this is different.

Medstar Duology notes wisely that even a padawan such as Barriss Offee could flatten a deadly non-Force using fighter like Phow Ji with a TK pimpslap, because there is no defense against it. But she engages in a "fair" battle and loses horribly, because Jedi morality.

So, you're saying that every single time a non-Force user fights a Jedi/Sith and the former manages to give him/her a good fight, it is only due to the Force user holding back? If so, I don't think that'd be true for the Champ or the Voidhound.

I can assume that Maul didn't go all out on Vizsla because it would either piss the Mandos off and ruin his bid for power or it just wouldn't be fun. I find the idea that he was just outclassed to be a stretch.

That's probably true. Choking or TKing Vizsla would've possibly been considered unfair and unhonorable for the Mandos and thus the win against him would've meant nothing. But still, there's really no way to actually prove this. I personally think TCW writers just wanted to have a good, flashy fight without thinking it through and realizing how stupid this was.

Regarding TOR fights, those boggle my mind. I realize Bioware is attempting to prevent "Force users pwn all" stereotypes and give incentive for people to play characters that are supposed to be the top tier non-Force using people of all time (Like Jango), but at some point a Force user is deliberately not TKing his opponent. From a combative standpoint, this sounds like stupidity, especially if the fighter is Sith.

It is a stupidity, but I think it's necessary in-game. It would utterly suck if players felt a lot more powerful as a Sith or Jedi than any other character as people would lose interest, or if they allegedly made non-Force user characters' opponents weaker because it would suggest the same thing. Not weaker in-game, but weaker in the sense that they don't fight and kill powerful Sith and Jedi.

In a hypothetical versus match though, PIS is considered invalid, and therefore someone as proficient as Maul should ideally apply the TK like Gideon applies his jam.

Gideon? Is Gideon

That Cracked link was awesome. Reminded me of the oft-repeated assertions that Revan "could of" beat Malak with mines and stims.

I lol'd.

I replied that way because you have a long history of claiming that people are becoming weaker because you get your news from Foxdisagree with non-violent stances on child rearing. While you're not wrong in most cases, your agenda sometimes shows, so I like to know if you're arguing from specific to general.

This is misconstruing what I'm saying a bit. Let's rephrase:

1. There's no defense against TK for non-Force users.
2. Force users can applying TK to incapacitate, knock down, ragdoll, or kill non-Force users depending on their level of mastery. (This is what we call evident)
3. Any time a Force user of sufficient skill (read: not a 10 year old padawan) goes against a non-Force user, due to plot-convenience or Rule of Cool, they tend to duke it out. It's pretty much PIS defined.

Therefore:

It makes sense that IF a Force user applied TK in a way to end a fight or at least get a situational advantage, THEN there's no reason to conclude a non-Force user would win any neutral setting hypothetical battle in these forums.

See above. Pretty sure it's all Rule of Cool or Star-Bushido enforced.

There's truth to this. When Galaxies made Jedi widely available, their numbers skyrocketed and other classes became ignored. I liked it better when Jedi had to look for 100 hours to find holocrons before they could start the path to become uber. It had some balancing affect in that it reduced Jedi only to the truly committed, and not some play-for-the-trial "Darth Numchucks McGee"

Oh, I agree. Which is exactly why the writers stupidly didn't think the Maul vs. Vizsla fight through. It was merely convenient plotwise. Other than that, 👇

Lol, I actually do put some thought into my characters' names. At least so they don't sound ridiculous. It kinda tips me off a little to see players running around with names like that.

Well, I'm fairly new around here so I wouldn't know that. I think I recall somebody calling him Gideon before, that's why I had to make sure. Nice comparison, though. Very accurate.

So now, we can unleash the Barriss Offee versus the non-Force using muggles thread. At least, until someone starts quoting Karen "I hate Jedi" Traviss.

I agonize over PC names in games. I was livid when EA did a server consolidation and I lost my old one, but they recently gave me a free name change token and I am slightly appeased.

And I don't think even Traviss quotes would save the Muggles.

I love that picture. It just represents the Catholic Church so well.

I heart photoshop.

And Traviss' hate is monumental. Blax posted some stuff I think awhile back and I was appalled. Complete disrespect for canon, borderline fanfic writing style, and Jedi hate so thorough you'd think one dumped her at the prom.
