Well I figure that some people are going to completely overreact to the slightest comment, might as well as hit the other end of the spectrum to remove all doubt.

🙁

So is the plot of AC3 Connor f*cking everything up for the actual good guys and basically being a massively unlikable, angsty, whiny prick for the entire thing?

Because thats what I getting from it.

Yea, nobody liked Connor in this game. Haytham was so much better than him it isn't even funny.

I just

Spoiler:
had to kill him too. God, why does Connor have to be such a douche. The Templars have literally done nothing wrong other than Lee being mean to him when he was a kid. At this point it seems to me that the whole thing is nothing but a vendetta for that one time the guy was a dick to him.

Why doesn't he kill the guy who actually attacked his village (twice), George Washington? Instead he wins battles for him and keeps going after the Templars. This is so dumb.

Spoiler:
Yea in this game, the Templars' motives are actually just and I agree with Haytham 100%. It wasn't Washington though, it was Lee and that's who he should have stopped with. They really did have a chance to see if the Templars and Assassins could coexist but as we know, it's impossible with their contradictory philosophies. What pissed Connor off was that Haytham knew all along what Washington did and only introduced it when he tried to convert Connor.

Was it Lee? Haytham said it was Washington and the game never contradicted him to my knowledge.

Nah, remember the part where Connor accuses of him of continuously supporting Charles Lee when Charles Lee massacred his village and Haytham says "that's impossible, I gave no such order, in fact I told Lee to do the opposite". Connor then says that he's all out of forgiveness.

Yeah, what about it? Haytham's saying Lee didn't do it. Then Washington flat out admits he gave the order.

You sure? Connor claims he did do it because he was there. This is when Haytham and Connor were chasing what's his name, the traitor.

Just because he was there doesn't mean he did it. I know where he says it, but my interpretation is that Connor assumed he did it because he was there and was a douche and accused Haytham of it. Haytham says its impossible since he ordered the exact opposite. Then later on Haytham forces Washington to admit that he attacked Connors village.

The wiki says that he didn't:

"In 1760, Lee and his fellow Templars, with the exception of Haytham – who was away in Europe on personal business – and Pitcairn, sought to meet with the elders of the local Kanien'kehá:ka tribe in Kanatahséton, in their continued efforts to locate the Precursor site. En route, Lee encountered a young boy in the forest and forcibly demanded the location of his village, unaware that the child was Ratonhnhaké:ton, Haytham's son. Instead of answering, the boy defiantly asked for Lee's name, before warning him steadfastly that he would find him. Amused, Lee mocked the boy, saying that he would look forward to it, and left after Johnson had knocked the child out.

Soon after, Lee and the others gave up in their search, and left. Shortly afterward, Ratonhnhaké:ton's village was set ablaze by George Washington and his forces, who suspected their allegiance to the French; an act which Ratonhnhaké:ton would mistakenly attribute to the Templars. "

Hm I don't remember getting that from the game at all. I specifically remember Lee setting fire to his village and Connor confirming it.

I think Neph doesn't like Native Americans.

So actually Connor has no real reason to hate Lee and I'm kind of laughing thinking about his "Charles Lee is a monster!" speech. The only legitimate thing he could have brought up is them inciting the Boston Massacre, but he doesn't. That was probably done to accelerate the revolution anyway though.

So yeah, Connor screws the pooch the entire game. 👆

Why do all their words have to be so ridiculous to pronounce?

Plus is really is just Connor being generally unpleasant to almost everyone in the game. Even his allies he treats with hostility and dislike. He's... just such a douche. 😬

And when he's not being a prick he's being generically bland.

Racist.

Go BIGot or Go Home.

^There's one fan in my fanclub. AC III had the potential to be one of the greatest games ever made because of the graphics and open play, but they screwed the storyline. That's not something you expect from a series that consistently had one of the greatest storylines ever.

AC II FTW.
