Could somebody recommend a fantasy series? I want it to be huge in scale, with a massive ensemble of characters like ASOIAF, and I want the series itself to be massive, maybe approaching 10 books or something, with each book being 500+ pages (or even if that's the plan, if it hasn't yet reached that number of books yet). Ideally I'd like there to be lots of romance and drama and an epic contest between light and dark with princes and princesses and knight, kingdoms, wizards and dragons etc. And it'd be cool if it was dark and gritty like ASOIAF as well, but it doesn't have to be comparable to it in that regard.

Read 3/4 of the first book but stopped for some stupid reason and I plan on starting again at some point. But right now I kind of want to experience something fresh for the first time. And something that's gonna be really long and epic and dark and moving, with a shit tonne of characters. Would rather it be fantasy but SF or something like that would be okay as well.

Well The Accursed Kings series was one that heavily inspired GRRM, to the point where he said “This is the original Game of Thrones.”
