The Refusal ending was a pretty hefty middle finger to the people who disliked all the choices at the end.
People say this but I think it's the opposite. It's BioWare giving you a chance to say fvck your choices I'd rather die. Which based on the fan reaction during the time is an accurate reflection.

Spoiler:
For all the people still waiting for "The Truth" to come out, not wanting to face the fact that it involved a lot of crappy writing at times instead.
I want to believe.

Continuing on from my ME3 talk yesterday, I personally think Control was the best ending.Spoiler:It's pretty much win-win all around.
Everyone lives, Reapers help rebuild and protect the galaxy forever, no Synthesis horrors, Shepard still kind of alive.
But then you don't achieve immortality through the final stage of evolution.

Try telling all theSpoiler:
Husks or Marauders or Cannibals or Banshees who suddenly become sentient in the Synthesis ending and have to live as horrifying monsters for the rest of their lives that they're the final stage of evolution. You know, if they ever stop screaming.
Why would they have issues again?
