Lol, now the argument is who handled an airline crash better. '83 Regan or '14 Obama.

It's all become clear to me. This is the incident that set off the nuclear apocalypse in the Metroverse. Next up, crazy Russian mutants.

Having never seen Apocalypse Now until... just now, it's amazing how much of a complete rip-off of the film the plot for Shatterpoint is.

And so a three day period of peace and repose comes to an end. It was a lovely three days, it will be missed, and we can only hope for another one in the near future.

I dunno. A certain thread in a certain forum would have been much more interesting, you must admit.

Lol. Honestly, if Carthage and LeGenD got into a Vitiate argument, I would not side with either one of them. I would just be cringing the whole time, and in the end, whoever loses/gets their ass kicked in the debate would've deserved it, regardless of who it would be.

It's ironic that Carthage makes me respect Vitiate more, while LeGenD makes me completely hate him.

Philistine. Apocalypse Now obviously copies Shatterpoint.

(Isn't it supposed to be based on Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad?)

Apocalypse Now is a classic.

Yep, it's based off of Heart of Darkness. Never gotten the chance to read it, myself. It's more of a short story iirc.

Its pretty great.

Speaking of things inspired by Heart of Darkness, anyone else here ever play Spec Ops: The Line? It's pretty much more or less the greatest narrative experience in gaming and if you disagree you just played it wrong and if you haven't played it you should.

Also don't spoil it for Blax if you have cause he hasn't played it yet.

I was going to talk to you about that once I finally got off my lazy ass and hopped on Skype.

I'm balls deep in Mirror's Edge and it's far too late for that though, now.

I have heard that its amazing.

It's fantastic, one of the best narratives in gaming.

A good story in gaming might make you hate its villains, and want to see the heroes succeed.

Spec Ops: The Line makes you hate yourself and wish you stopped playing.

But it isn't real, so why should you care?

lol

How many Americans have you killed today Nephthys?

This is so dumb. I can play Fallout NV with minimal fuss, but Fallout 3 freezes in 10 seconds of walking around. I can't even make it out of infanthood! How can I play the older game fine but not the earlier one? I had this exact same problem with Bioshock 2.
