Yes. I'm trying out some fixes I found online. Apparently it has tons of issues.And NV is the one always made out to be buggy and poorly coded, pffft.
Idk how Fallout 3 runs on PC so can't really help. Sorry.

This is so dumb. I can play Fallout NV with minimal fuss, but Fallout 3 freezes in 10 seconds of walking around. I can't even make it out of infanthood! How can I play the older game fine but not the earlier one? I had this exact same problem with Bioshock 2.
Upgrade the rig is the douchey answer.
And the wrong one. The computer being too good was the problem. I had to limit it to only running 2 cores because quad core makes FO3 shit itself.
Today I had a dream that I was a vampire who killed someone and stole the building he owned. The rest of the dream was me being a landlord. One of my tenants flirted with me, it was great.
Windows 7.
This was the advice I followed:
I remember this. Had to change some configurations in the .ini file. Let me check if I find the fix.
Try this:
Step 1)
Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3
Find the line:
bUseThreadedAI=0
change it to:
bUseThreadedAI=1
Add another line after it and insert:
iNumHWThreads=2
This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze.
Don't remember if those were the lines I changed though.

Is it performing better now or are you still experiencing issues?
