About this - I was under the impression that relations between the Emperor and Vader didn't really sour until Galen defeated Vader and Palpatine urged Marek to kill him.

I know in ROTS he's entertaining the thought. But RODV doesn't give off that vibe. Then TFU happens and Vader still shows no hostility towards Palpatine. After that, he takes another apprentice (Tao) with the exact intent to kill Palpatine, and entertains similar thoughts once he learns about Luke.

Darth Vader is bound by intense hatred for Palpatine due to the fact that he is aware that the Emperor manipulated him for most of his life and has deliberately lied to him. However, he is also shown to have an almost Oedipal love and respect for him as well. By Return of the Jedi, tUVG mentions that he has accepted the fact that he is "destined to remain a pawn in his Master's schemes" and pretty much abandons the idea of ruling the galaxy with Luke.

And after so many failures, who wouldn't be broken?

The show is marketed towards preteens and 40-year-old nerds. Still, though, Yoda is awesome.

That was established long before this series was revealed. Dark Rendezvous and, especially, the CWC made him awesome. I mean, ESB did it first, but I wasn't alive for that.

It's still fun to watch some of the ruthless villains observe Yoda with a smidgen of fear. Ventress's best fear moments so far in the new series is in that scene, where her eyes get huge and she's like "SHOOT HIM NOW!" and then in the movie, where she's seductively purring to Count Dooku via hologram, and then Sidious pops up beside him, and she's on her knees, head bowed in a second.

Dark Rendezvous, Obsession, and The Cestus Deception went through those, too, although I'll admit that she makes an interesting animated character.

I want to see Mace Windu and Sora Bulq, though.
