Actually they're so insecure, that they want to publicly be known as "progressive" and therefore, attempt to do any and all things differently so as to publicly equate change to progress. So my point stands. Good try

The post I originally quoted did not make sense given the context. You might have assumed what you said was common knowledge and as such your meaning could be easily assumed, but for someone who has never been to California (like me, for example) your post did nothing to explain why Californians were insecure. 👆

Edit: I got bored and took another look at which states are the worst places to make a living according to Forbes. Hawaii is the worst. Huh. New York is second worst. Then Mississippi. Cali wasn't mentioned.

But yeah, I've been to Fort Lauderdale a couple of months ago. The people, culture etc. were all different compared to NYC.

Florida is laid back. NYC is a fast paced dump. I don't understand the kind of people that love NYC. Like really, do not understand them one bit. At least California has scenery.

I'll tell you, the best place in California is San Diego. It's 100x cleaner, the weather is perfect, and you have rich biotechnology conservatives. One of the greatest places I've ever been to.
