The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

I can't believe how shitty Orlando has been playing and how great Boston has been playing. NOBODY gave Boston a chance. I thought Orlando had the best chance to beat the Lakers, especially with home court advantage. Now it looks like Boston, who's been playing out of their minds and coached by a genius.

And Howard was the ONLY player to show up for Orlando today.

Yea, I've seen the show. And he makes fun of Democrats/Liberals a hell of a lot more than Conservatives. Of course, the whole purpose of his show is to make fun of both parties, but he's a conservative while Stewart is a Liberal. I think you're STILL not understanding what I'm saying.

I understand you completely. Colbert's character is a Republican personality that mocks the various foibles of the Democratic party, as well as the most egregious examples of idiocy in the Republican party.

I understand that when you see someone making fun of democrats you want to consider them a republican. I believe I know what you are saying:

I want you to consider what I am saying. Stephen Colbert is not a Republican. While he makes fun of Democrats, and takes on the persona of a Conservative talk show host, the actual ideological leanings of the show are much more liberal. If you watch his interview style and look past the "gotcha" tactic (which is itself a satirical jab at the republican hosts like Limbaugh and Hannity (?) and OReily (??)) you will notice that the questions he lets his guest answer almost always help their case if they are liberals (look at any ecologically-motivated guest) but do not if they are conservatives (as when the Tea Baggers were brought on). Colbert is a leftist-Liberal-what-have-you just as much as Stewart is.

redick didn't play badly. I really wish he had gotten the chance to get good minutes somewhere from the beginning of his career. Heck, come and play on the pacers, he is like a better version of mike dunleavy.

Redick was the second best player today, except when he rebounded the ball and took 8 seconds off the clock.

any player or coach on the floor can call a timeout. Everyone blaming that solely on him was a little unfair.

Yea but Orlando has been embarrassing. Where is Nelson? Rondo is skull****ing him. Give credit to Boston, they really peaked.

http://www.cracked.com/article_18459_the-5-creepiest-unsolved-crimes-nobody-can-explain_p2.html Man that is some creepy shit. The first one is the one thats really wierd for me, and the Monster with 21 faces sounds f'ing hardcore.

Though I mostly agree with one of the commenters:

#5 Spook - I'm guessing he's some kind of spy or agent and he was killed by something outside of the public knowledge. The one I'm most confused over.
#4 Victims mostly unrelated, time frame all are found is a coincidence- Personally I think its just a serial killer.
#3 Typical 2001 fans- Would have to be a group of fans who just did it for kicks.
#2 Ace career criminals with sense of humor- Also Awesome.
#1 Tricked and robbed by third party- Either that or they were just crazy Donnie Darko style.

'The Toynbee Convector. I hate to disagree, but the Toynbee mystery has nothing to do with the historian. Toynbee's idea is a reference to the "Toynbee Convector" a short story written by Ray Bradbury. In that story, a Professor Toynbee invents a time machine, and goes 100 years into the future to see the world is a paradise.... he comes back with all sorts of video proof of his journey, which makes the people stop their fighting and destruction, and the human race fulfills their destiny to build a paradise. On the 100th anniversary of his trip, the human race converge on the spot in he future that the professor arrives with his time machine to welcome him to the future.. it's a media circus, however, Professor Toynbee, who is very old at this point, comes forward to reveal it was all a fraud. His Toynbee convector was all a lie to get humanity to start working together for the common good. "Toynbee Idea" is a lie for the greater good. Jupiter in 2001 was the site of a higher intelligence that gave humanity it's evolution, that was starting again on one of Jupiter's moons. The message seems pretty clear to me... "Humanity must evolve if humanity is to survive." The 21st century is when everything changes... that is the belief of whoever is writing the messages... the sequel to 2001 is 2010 "The Year We Make Contact"... I would be surprised if the messages keep going after this year. '

Cool stuff.

I'm pumped. For the 2010-2011 year, I will be spending the entire academic year in a multidicsplinary program that unites epistemology with neuroscience. Fifty credits total.

For fall semester I'm slimming down my classes. I'm tired of all this math and shit, gonna take a little bit of a break to focus on my RTV major.

Gonna take acting, voice, guitar, conditioning, and TV production this fall.

Does this mean your female interaction and alcohol intake will increase? Or decrease?

Neither. I have no female friends of any kind and I don't drink.

Its like looking into a mirror.

Don't insult Autokrat by comparing him to you, punk!

No, not really.

I had a female friend. Then her father banned me from her presence.

That's sad bro. You should have more than 1 female friend. I'm not kidding. You find eventually that one is much more like the next one than we would like to admit. I don't mean that flippantly. It took me a long time to learn that lesson.

Yeah well I .... make awkward connversations with flat-mates..... Yeah.

I have an incredibly hard time making friends at all. I only have two. In fact I have a hard time engaging with just about anyone.

Seriously are you like, copying my life or something?
