Ah, with the giant owl in the desert.

I'd ask for confirmation, but I know I'm right.

😐

July 1st. Shyamalan better not disappoint me.

Why is the "e" in "maybe" in a long "e" instead of a short "e"?

oh hey red, you were curious about this earlier: Here is the exact Federal law that is already on the books. The Arizona law is no more and no less than this.

Federal Immigration and Nationality Act
Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)

Enforcement

State and local law enforcement officials have the general power to investigate and arrest violators of federal immigration statutes without prior INS knowledge or approval, as long as they are authorized to do so by state law. There is no extant federal limitation on this authority. The 1996 immigration control legislation passed by Congress was intended to encourage states and local agencies to participate in the process of enforcing federal immigration laws. Immigration officers and local law enforcement officers may detain an individual for a brief warrantless interrogation where circumstances create a reasonable suspicion that the individual is illegally present in the U.S. Specific facts constituting a reasonable suspicion include evasive, nervous, or erratic behavior; dress or speech indicating foreign citizenship; and presence in an area known to contain a concentration of illegal aliens. Hispanic appearance alone is not sufficient. Immigration officers and police must have a valid warrant or valid employer's consent to enter workplaces or residences. Any vehicle used to transport or harbor illegal aliens, or used as a substantial part of an activity that encourages illegal aliens to come to or reside in the U.S. may be seized by an immigration officer and is subject to forfeiture. The forfeiture power covers any conveyances used within the U.S.

Yet another red card given to horrendous acting.

Portugal totally destroyed North-Korea.

Yea it was impressive and finally gave this World Cup some goals. However, Portugal isn't a favorite in my book. They wouldn't do that against Italy or Brazil. And the player of the tournament thus far has to be the Swiss goal keeper, he's amazing. I hope all of these FIFA refs get fired and they revamp the entire system, because it's really destroying the world cup.

I hope dear leader Kim jong Ill doesn't kill the NK soccer players for losing the cup...

Portugal was actually my version of a dark horse team coming into the World Cup. Then they had that draw result in the first game and I was a little worried. Now though, back on track.

I don't think they're as good as Spain, Argentina, or Brazil though

Spain and Argentina, I agree with. Brazil worries me. They need an actual striker. Their offense thus far has been sub par, especially for Brazil. Why was Ronaldinho left off the team?

I think right now they're overrated.

Also, anyone else think Spain made a huge mistake today? They sat back and basically just tried to keep possession after going up 2 - 0. They could have had 4-5 goals easily, though. Missing the penalty kick. Only sending two guys into the box during multiple corner kicks. David Villa needing a second touch to try and shoot it into the net when he was pretty well open late in the match...That goal differential will probably hurt them when they place second and have to play Brazil in the round of 16...

Because Dunga is a dick. And they're just fine without a striker. Their offense has been ridiculously efficient and they can score with anybody on that team. Fabiano had some great goals against Ivory Coast and Kaka's assist to what's his name was brilliant. This team resembles the 1994 team which was largely defense oriented but had some nice strikers (Romario and Bebeto).

With all that said, Spain is ridiculously loaded though.

Yeah, their passing was really precise today and opened up a helluva lotta chances.

How delusional is FIFA?

On a scale of 1 to 10, about 15. They're like Bud Selig in MLB - delusional and ignorant and proud of it.

"As far as FIFA is concerned, they're watching just fine.
"We are very, very satisfied with the performance of the referees," Jose-Marcia Garcia-Aranda, head of refereeing for the sport's governing body, said Monday."

I don't think they're watching the right matches.

I don't think they're watching ANY matches..

On a different subject,
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/21/mcchrystal-says-ambassador-betrayed-criticism-afghan-war-strategy/

Let me get this straight. Our top military officer in the Middle East gets dragged off his post, out of the war zone, flown halfway across the world, all because our incompetent President is butthurt by his ACCURATE portrayal of Obama and his Administration?

Red card for Gourcuff.

Worst WC I've ever watched.

I have never seen a team implode like the french have in this world cup. And for one of the few times in this world cup, or maybe the first time, that was a definite red card.
