The randomness of it all was kinda weird too.... I mean,i had never even heard of Paola... Does Gideon even use other threads on KMC?

He posts outside of this subforum quite often, but this appears to be completely random.

Damn, too bad Paula did it. If REX or Ush had done it you'd have some hope.

It's kind of wierd (and telling?) that staff go on random sock checks because their bored, though.

I have it on good authority that Paula will be revealing everything shortly.

When you joined the Killer Movies Community's forum, you entered into a contractual agreement that you would not have more than the account created at that time.

What relevance does being a respected member have on whether or not one is in violation of those rules? Rules need to be enforced and power needs to be exercised from time-to-time to keep an operation running smooth and the users in-check.

It's unfortunate that Gideon was selected for a chance termination, and I would ardently defend him if I knew the surrounding circumstances and they attested to his innocence, but because I do not - as I suspect most of you do not - it would be foolhardy and downright rude to insult a moderator for merely doing her job.

Ask questions - there's nothing wrong with questioning authority. Do that rather than risk getting a warning or being banned over emotion.

Not that I have anything against Neb, but how does the Queen of Socks not get banned but Gideon does?

She was being helpful! It's a Moderators job to be helpful. I've actually read the rules and they say that Moderators "make sure the forums are a fun place to be."

it really doesn't work with neb. But they don't give up. They keep on banning.

If we brought back all our members we could maybe do better than 108th in the ol' forum rankings...

We have this little feature who shows wether you're socking or not.

Gideon's sock check comes out as 'SOCK - USING SERVER TO SERVER TECHNIQUE' and that's it. We have no option but to ban the account, no matter how old they are or how many of them are there or what other names he used. It's a rule.

Information on socks are always confidential because of many reasons, Gideon must know what other names he used. You don't.

Says the person who's socked about a 100 odd times and yet the great and wise moderation staff apparently missed you while banning a respected member of five years.
