Cool. Though just to answer your original question he does get more powerful when he consumes death.
You've really taken Zamp's ideology and ran with it, haven't ya? I'll need to see the proof before I agree.
N.Spoiler:
Also his faster corruption obviously means that he's > Failatine.
You wound me with your hurtful remarks.
That said, it's not exactly the same phenomenon. The text indicates that Nihilus's body decayed at the rate that it did because of his consumption of planets worth of Force energy. Meanwhile, Palpatine's physical corruption was the result of how powerful he was in the Force. One was corrupted by borrowed energy, the other by natural.

The short version is that the technique he uses to feed on death is the same technique that the Exile uses, and it is confirmed in game that this technique allows you to feed and grow on death. Also see Visas' conversation where she talks about him feeding on life and eventually growing powerful enough to destroy the Force. As much as you mock it, it proves that the technique makes him grow in power.

Actually teh quote attributes his accelerated corruption to the Darkside and that his use of the technique is merely an incidental cause. Because he is using the technique to grow in power the darkside is corrupting him. The technique itself is not mentioned as being the cause at all.

I don't get it.

Visas, the Ignorant One
And now that the Jedi are vanishing, I do not know what will happen - perhaps he will grow strong enough to eradicate all life, merely with his presence.
If this is the quote to which you're referring, I remain unconvinced, since Visas flat out says she doesn't know what will happen. If there's another quote out there, I'd like to see it.

No, N. He was already being corrupted by the dark side. Draining the planets is what made the corruption accelerate.
"As Nihilus greedily consumes entire planets' life energy, the dark side macerates him even faster." Faster than what? Faster than it did before he drained planets of the Force.

On the Exile:
'You are a cipher, forming bonds, leeching life from others, siphoning their will and dominating them. It is the teaching of these new sith to feed on others, on other Force sensitives. They are symptomatic of the wound in the Force.'
'He's right..... all the death you've caused to get here. You feed on it and grow stronger. You're like Malachor.... its in you, its what you are now. You must have noticed it as you've fought your way across all these planets, killing hundreds, only to get more and more powerful. Why do you think that was?'
On Nihilus:
'feeding upon the death it causes'
Two independant sources saying the exact same thing.

I fail to see how that contradicts what I said. The dark side was what corrupted him. Unless you're thinking that the technique gives him +50 darkside points, it can only be that the increase in power is whats really doing the work.

Rabidly deny anything Kreia says. After all, they spent hours compounding her dialogue just so she can be written off entirely as a credible source. But if Sidious feels he can instantly summon a Force storm, he's definitely right.
Rabidly accept anything Kreia says because, you know, anyone that can wield 3 lightsabers telepathically should be taken at her word regardless of her views on the force or her stance on the proper way to cook meatballs.

The Jedi Council. To be fair, it is pretty convincing, and it's this sort of thing that I don't have a problem with.
But it's when Neph and Zamp want to use admitted speculation as conclusive evidence when it regards Nihilus and disregard everything else when it doesn't regard Nihilus that I have a problem.
We use no more 'admitted speculation' than your theory on Palpatines mystical black hole powers(tm). Everything is sourced and has a logical basis and line of reasoning, leading up to a logical conclusion.
And I find it highly unlikely that we've ever admitted to speculation and then claimed it as fact considering the contadiction inherent in doing that. 😐

Kreia's meatballs are excellent, if not kosher. Don't hate.
