No series comes close to matching the brilliance that is Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series. I have not played the Assassins Creed games but I know that Peach and General Kaliero really like them and therefore I hate them.
Everyone has their opinions. In terms of gameplay and more importantly, storyline (which is why I play games), it's Assassins Creed and the first Deus Ex.

You should definitely look into the MGS series in that case. Aside from featuring some of the most innovative, grand, and versatile gameplay you could ever find, it's probably the most story driven non-visual novel series there is, and more importantly the storyline's actually incredibly good. The latest game in the main series alone had multiple cutscenes that number around the 40 minute mark and one in particular that was literally 90 minutes in length.

I've played them all. They were good games but to me they just didn't compare.

Honestly? "Amid growing calls for more internet regulations...."
Bullshit. Calls from whom? certainly not from people using the internet.
Test Time!
Convert the letters in your name (first and last) into numbers, A=1 B=2 C=3 etc. For numbers with double digits add the two digits together until you are left with a number under 10, e.g. 19=10=1. When you have found all teh numbers for each letter add them all together and then continue to add the individual digits together until you reach a number under 22, as there are 21 major arcana, e.g. 22 = 4, but 21 stays as it is as the World card.
This number will determine which of the major arcana you represent, which in turn will indicate your personality and inner soul. For example, I got a 4, so I am, as if there was any doubt, The Emperor, which indicates Authority and worldly power.
I am eagerly awaiting your own results. Anyone not participating is a BIG POOPOO HEAD and will be given the Hermit card because I WILL NEVER SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN!

Silly way to pick your card, considering no one will get a 0. I don't agree with mine either.
I'm surprised to agree with DS on anything as a rule, but I appreciate the Deus Ex series as well. Preordered the third one on Steam.
