We finished the arguments. Every debate had been done before at least several times and there simply weren't many new posters coming in to stir things up beyond trolling (our reaction to those who did arrive probably didn't help though). We just got bored.
Plus there used to be basically 2 sides on here, the Pro-Sidious guys (Gideon, Lightsnake, Beefy etc) and the Anti-Sidious guys (Janus, Nebaris, Borbarat, Me etc) but then the Anti's got bored or frustrated or defeated or banned for the 200th time and they pissed off.

@QuanchiDo you not like the Star Wars EU, or just have lack of knowledge of it and choose not to debate it, or something else?

Yeah, I remember that, and all those posters (Nebaris, lol). The Antediluvians, right? Man, I wished I stayed.
This site does feel like a ghost town compared to the traffic it used to get. I remember a time when I'd log in after only a day away, and half the thread roster would have "New Post" beside it. Establishment of Gideon's "Palpatinopolis" as a status quo became tedious, zealous use of the Banhammer depleted our numbers, harsh responses to any newbie who didn't fit our strict standards drove away rectuits (and further discussion), and a decline in new (and good) material in the franchise...
It all killed the Radio Star.

Every graduation/commencement should use a variation of this speech.
Updates to his next graduation skills. Now here's a guy with some awareness.

Huh, wow, things must have turned for the worst then. I seemed to have left before this "Palpatinopolis" but I recall ostracism to newbies. I used to be buddies with a lot of them to helped them integrate into the forum. But the decline in material and repetition of threads always seemed inevitable.
Well this place used to be a blast. Hopefully there's a revival, with old members (like myself) returning or new members coming in.

If you think you know of any ways to help this message board's decline chime in.

Understandable

Or they try to fit it into canon to make a nice, more cohesive universe. You're probably right though, greed is usually the fuel.

Your support of Bane and Nihilus is a constant source of amusement. Which is good, because after dealing with a most... uncooperative computer today, I find the laughter most soothing.

Watch it. uhuh
As a matter of fact, I do believe I have glimpsed posts from you two gentlemen supporting the Palpatinopolis. (Good word, btw.) This establishes the two of you as utter whores, which extends beyond your awkward-but-paltry conditions of homosexuality and Canadianism (respectively). he

I went along with the Palpatinopolis because I assumed that everyone else knew what they were talking about and had all the definitive sources to back it up--regardless of my own feelings towards how the pre-PT Jedi and Sith should be viewed as stronger. I sacrificed that to maintain a canon status quo.

But then Nai came back and pulled a "third person limited narrative" and suddenly everything was all like "whhoooooaaaaaaaaa!!!!"
EDIT: Besides, what's wrong with being a f*cking whore?
